This guy

has one of the symbols for 'Ra', the Egyptian sun god, on his forehead. This:

This one's design

looks like the symbol 'She' for water:

Someone else pointed out that

is Osiris, who is depicted with green skin, but wearing white robes so you only see his head and hands are green, which I just realized are the green coronets.

This is way too much fun lol.

Can't quite make out the symbol on his forehead. Could be Uraeus, the cobra since it's green, but the shape isn't quite right. Can any of the sharp eyes in this thread make it out?
Well-researched horses!
You know a lot about Ancient Egypt.
I now know names for my horses once they're grown!
I believe the symbol on the hoses head may be the Eye of Horus:

Or at least, that's the green symbol on the horseshoe I think lol

EDIT: Or not, just now realized that they're reversed

Oh, no no you're right! I was thinking the eye but I couldn't quite match it to the fuzzy shape lol. But I didn't notice the symbol on the horseshoe, good eyes! I bet that's it.

Yep, I'd say that's the Eye of Horus - good spotting on the horseshoe! ^^ Egyptian hieroglyphs have no 'handedness' like our letters, so they can be written backwards or forwards equally well. Random Egyptology fact - hieroglyphs are read in the direction that the animals are facing, and tomb inscriptions were often doubled up, with one set of inscriptions facing one way and the other set facing the opposite direction to maintain ma'at, or balance. So one half of a door might have a story carved in it from left to right, while the other half has the same story but written from right to left.

Ooh fascinating.
Also, the Ancient Egyptians had a festival
in November to celebrate the beauty of Osiris. XD Heh we need a thread dedicated to the thought processes behind the pets. XD
Like Cerberus is a famous mythical hellhound, his job was to be the gatekeeper of Hell. Haha and I was lookin' all over for a 6-legged horse, but I think that was just a Malk original.

There IS an eight-legged horse of Norse mythology... *yammers on*

This is just a thought but this is what I came up with...

has the symbol of Air

has the symbol of Water.

has the symbol of the Sun.

has the symbol of the Farming.
Or the four symbols of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. The elements of life to most Egyptians...(or so my history teacher says)
