What is this, I don't even. It doesn't even make sense. xD Gah, enjoy the ramblings of my brain.

Julia, Liam
The Gang

Lucifer, Treppix, Savannah, Monty
The city was rather intimidating, with its large stone buildings shooting out of the earth, with blaring sirens and flashing lights all around. It was especially strange to a man of the suburbs like Liam Shepherd. He was used to seeing three cars a day, more bikes than anything, and hearing the sweet whisper of the heather fields. Sighing, he fumbled with his plain cream scarf for a few moments before plunging into the crowd. Running his hand anxiously through his thin brown hair, he glanced one more time at the crumpled-up scrap of paper in his hand.
Pig’s Ears Pub, it read.
“The Pig’s Ears?” came a voice from behind him, almost shouting into his ear. He flinched and stared behind him. A young woman had appeared, quite randomly. Her olive green eyes flickered as she re-read the note over his shoulder. She had short hair, dyed both red and black, that was tied in a messy ponytail. She was tall and thin, and had a small orange bow in her hair. One long white earring dangled down from her left ear.
“E-er, yes, I’m meeting some friends there,” Liam replied, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. “I’m not quite sure where it is, because I’ve never been here before. Do you know where to go?”
“You don’t want to go there,” the woman shook her head, her arms crossed across her chest. “The Pig’s Ears is the most insane place around, not to mention it’s in the seedy part of town. I can take you to another tavern, if ya want. My buddy Treppix owns the place. It’s pretty underground, but relatively peaceful for a pub.”
He bit his lip. “I guess that would be cool. I’m Liam.”
“The name’s Julia MacDonald, but you can call me MacJ.” She stuck out her hand and he shook it tentatively. “My friends are a strange bunch, but ya learn to love them. The boys might seem a little rough at first, but they’ve got hearts of oatmeal. And Savannah – Treppix’s girl – is a big sweetheart.”
The pair made their way down the main street and ducked into a few dark alleyways, sometimes darting quickly through them, sometimes stopping to let Julia point out some statue or monument. He soon found himself in front of a dark building. Warmth and light radiated out from the windows and doors, and Julia squeezed past Liam and swung open the door. “Hey, guys!” she yelled, waving viciously at the bartender and the three people sitting in front of him.
“MacJ!” they yelled in return, bumping knuckles with the woman and slapping her on the back. Liam followed slowly, glancing nervously at the other customers of the tavern. He squeaked quietly as Julia suddenly grabbed him by his scarf and pulled him towards her friends.
“Guys,” she announced, shoving him into a stool beside her, “this is Liam. He’s our new best friend, okay?”
“Hey, I’m Lucifer,” the man with shaggy black hair and a pale face muttered, darkly staring straight ahead. He had a large top hat perched on his head.
Another woman appeared out of nowhere, her long sandy hair sticking out everywhere. “I’m Savannah!” she grinned, shaking Liam’s hand ferociously. “And that’s my boyfriend Treppix.” The bartender nodded to him, the numerous piercings and rings on his ears clanging against one another.
The last man was tall and slender, with large glasses and an autumn-coloured scarf. He had several paint stains on his earthy brown clothes. “My name is Monty,” he smiled briefly, sipping his beer. “Glad to meet you.”
“Likewise,” Liam breathed, shy in the face of so many strangers. He turned to Julia, awkwardly fiddling with his thumbs. “Um, I think I’d better get going. It’s getting dark.”
“It’s eight o’clock,” Lucifer muttered.
“You can’t be
that socially awkward,” Julia teased, pushing a drink towards him. “Come on. We can be intimidating, but we know how to have fun.”
