I gasped. The Chicken smoothie moderators had chosen me to be the mom of the 2nd Gen pups. Now they were choosing the dad of the pups. I closed my eyes and thought of Jasper. I hoped he would be chosen to be the dad of my pups. They called out a name that I didn't hear at first. I heard the name ripple around the crowd. "Jasper!" I said happily. I couldn't wait! Jasper and I ran up to each other and touched noses. Then we set off towards the stage where we would get our instructions.

Should I continue?

I will continue even though no one responded.

It was 2 month after we had been chosen. I had 4 little pups in purple and red blankets snoozing next to me. I prodded my favorite little pup. She looked like me and Jasper. I suddenly looked up from my musings and turned to Jasper. "Lets name them" I said smiling at him. "You get two I will get two." Jasper smiled back and said "You first." "Jessica" I said without hestation. "Our names together" I said when Jasper gave me a questioning look.
"And this is Anne Marie" I said pointing at the purple pup that looked so much like me.Jasper gave me a playful push. "My turn" He said touching a pup with a lightning bolt on the blanket "Thor. After the god of Lighting and Thunder." "And the last one?" I said looking at the last pup. She was unsaul. She had wings and looked like she was glowing. Me and Jasper said at the same time. "Angel!"

The tall scientist stood in the elevator, watching as the numbers counted down. A few floors above the one he was heading for, the elevator clanked to a stop and the doors opened. A coworker, Caroline, stepped in and glanced at him with a shy smile. She hit a button on the console and then stepped back to stand next to the scientist. "Morning, Thomas," she said, glancing at him sidelong. "Morning," he replied, looking at her and then away again. The elevator started moving again, and Caroline moved closer to him. Thomas began to sidle away, but suddenly his coworker took him by the shoulders and pressed him up against the wall of the elevator, kissing him hard. Thomas was shocked; terrified, even, but luckily for him the elevator ground to a halt and Caroline let him go. She hurried out of the doors and they slid shut after her. Horrified, Thomas scrubbed at his mouth with the back of one hand, wondering frantically if he had lipstick on his face. The elevator went down one floor and stopped again; Thomas bolted out and raced down the hall towards his office. Flinging the door open he rushed in and closed it quickly, then pulled his phone out of his pocket and checked his reflection in the screen. No lipstick- that was good. Flipping the phone over, he stuck it back into his pocket and sat down in his chair. A knock at the door made him jump, but he settled down when his friend Owen came in carrying two cups of coffee. Owen handed him a cup and flung himself into the extra chair, saying, "Alright. What happened?" Thomas let out a long sigh and took a sip of coffee, then recounted to Owen what had happened in the elevator. A few moments passed in awkward silence, and after a while Owen said, "Ouch, man." Thomas sighed and ran a hand through his dark hair. "I mean," said the scientist, setting down his coffee on the desk, "She's got to know that I'm- I mean, well, girlfriends aren't exactly my... thing." He sighed again and laid his head down on his desk next to his coffee cup. He heard a creak as Owen stood up, and then felt his friend's hand on the back of his head. "It'll work out, man," he said. "You just got to tell her, that's all."
