Kinda agree. I love the looks of the kids, but not too into every single outcome having the clothes. If they didn't have the clothes, this guy

would be my favorite sitting cat ever. He's gorgeous, just not into the hat and bandana. 😭
Vincent Van Gogh. Everyone said to him, "You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear." And you know what he said? "I can't hear you."
Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

The hats and bandanas are part of what make the litter a good 2nd gen 💜
Without the hat and bandana, this cat could just be any random cat, but the clothes really signify that they're 2nd gen offspring of the parent designs.
I like that they have the clothes, so you really can't forget their origins. They're loud about being the children of cowboys and that's pretty fun hahaha

I mean... the one i linked looks EXACTLY like the dog parent, so no, clothes are not the only way to tell they are 2nd gen. 😑 plus the others have subtle edits to the lines to tell to the fact they are cat/dog

Both parents also have hats and bandanas, so it'd honestly be odd if the 2nd gen designs didn't carry that detail through.
And like I said, them having the hats and bandanas makes it so you absolutely can't forget what they're based on. Without the bandana, even with this offspring having Major's markings, you could mistake it as any random cat with similar markings, but with the bandana it's like "oh, this cat is fully rocking the family outfit" hahaha.
I like that personally I think it's cute and fun and really ties them all together in a way the litter wouldn't be otherwise

I would liked this outcome with out the bandana more and the dog without a bandana could have taken off the hat instead.
But every one has a different taste.

I'm typically not a huge fan of clothes on pets either, however this litter is a big exception for me.
I LOVED the Western theme of the Summer Event, and I absolutely love the uniqueness of these guys!!! Big thank you to the artists who pulled this off. The only thing I find slightly off putting about any of them is the eyes on the one cat. They're too far apart, and it throws me. It's probably supposed to be a cat with dog eyes, but that sounds even creepier.

That's just the way the cookie crumbles...

i personally adore the 'built in' items on the 2nd gen babies. i missed the entirety of the western event, but i love the designs of the parents and how their 'items' signal what event they come from. so for me, their babies having the same items make it a cute little calling card in my eyes. plus its less items i need to dress em up lol.
while yes, im sure all the 2nd gens would look great without their items, again, i dont think they'd read as their parents kids nearly as well as they do with them. they'd just look like cats and dogs with a more natural palette. which, even if the artists had gone that route id be happy, since i love naturalistic pet designs
thank you for these babies missionflight and ~trompy !!
on another note, im so excited for my little black dragon fox to grow. think itll be my favorite outcome for the litter

I personally think it's cute and agree with others that it really marks them as part of this litter. But I can understand just wanting a base pet of some 'clothed' litterels
Although now I'm imagining a new category of Advent pets - we have GUPPS, long lost litter mates...should have a clothes-less litter (ex. Pets wearing clothes are now just the pet)
That aside, I feel there's not enough praise for the Chameleons this month. Think this guy is my favorite of the bunch.

Just love the soft electric blue of him

This poor fella lost part of his ear when he lost his hat. Maybe that’s why he looks so sad?
The designs are lovely and I personally like that they carry their parents Wild West look with the bandannas and hats but I have to say I would have preferred the 2nd gens from the love match to look happy.

I love the design of this one best out of the dogs but really wish it had a smile like this one
