If you do a gradient from cyan to purple, you will automatically get blue/indigo:


I still think it'll only have two outcomes just like the others, until proven wrong :p

yes i am well aware of how gradients work, my point was that if they only wanted two colors, they could have started the gradient at indigo instead of cyan. but hey if they are going by a color wheel instead of a visible light spectrum, then it works out just fine (though if that was the case then red should have been magenta but now I'm just being finicky )

The second stages roughly shows which colour we will get at the end. You can see the cyan at the kittens head. Why starting with indigo if we won't get an indigo cat but cyan instead as it is now?
Nah, the logic in there evades me completely. ^^°

Now I can see why the Artist called them Rottcollies c:
I can see a resemblance to the [Choc Tri] Collie, and the Chest markings does look similar to that of the Rottweiler not to mention the bobbed tail
They also remind me of the Kelpie, chest, leg and face markings, and similar colour, or even the Australian Shepherd
There are a few dog breeds with similar colours and markings, makes what people see vary, and makes naming a little harder xD

Really looking forward to the last one growing, its been my favourite so far, and I'm sure that it won't disappoint, I also like how 2 have blue eyes and 2 have green.
The Two tailed dog could represent 2 dog breeds used in the design, or the last can have 3 tails so it goes Bobbed, Full tail, two tails, three tails, more with each growth, but I doubt it. xD

That's like saying they should've given us every color in between on the gradient, which doesn't feasibly make sense at all because that would also have to be done for each of the second stages. The way they did it made sense. They used approximately each color they did end up using and just made a gradient from one to the next. There's no reason they should have to use the colors in between on the gradient just because they used that gradient.

again the very start of this conversation was that they may have been following ROY G BIV which would have meant there would be three outcomes with the blue/purple cats: cyan, indigo, purple, the other cats do not have three colors in their gradients because the two colors were too close to each other to create another color. so i was suspecting because of the trickiness with these colors, there would be three outcomes instead of two, it is only speculation, there no need to get super finicky about it. (if i had known my very first comment would have sparked so much debate, i wouldn't have said anything.)

Eh *shrugs* two cats or three, still a very pretty outcome! Considering how many had all of theirs grow tonight or most of theirs, I would be surprised if there was three outcomes. For me personally, just have one more ungrown blue/purple kitty yet. :3

Ooh, I love how the rings were done on the saturn dog. I didn't need four of them, but I suppose it's not a bad one to have four of since it's quite nice. I only wish I'd gotten one of the still growing dogs.

Also, I'm so happy the blue/purple cat I adopted from the pound grew while the one from my original adopts is still growing! I only had the one blue/purple kitten before, but I was lucky enough to snag a second one from the pound the other day, and I'm really glad I did. Without it I knew I was guaranteed to miss at least one outcome.
