    Ok.
Am I the only one who doesn't see "mosaic" when I see these guys? Traditional mosaics are made up of little square pieces. P: Not huge random blocks of swirly. Also, I honestly don't care, just as long as they grow up to be awesome (as I'm sure they will, Maus has made great pets already. |D) I don't like picking apart pets and dissecting them, I just like enjoying them. >> Not every pet has a meaning, a theme, a thingy. P:

    Alsoooo:

I don't know what it is about these pups, but they gave me the very same feeling of excitement I got back when I used to adopt in July and August 08, genuine excitement. I wish they never grew up, just stayed perfect little newborns. <333 I'm scared the charm will leave once they grow up. :c
Well, they're going in my siggie. |D

Just because boats are awesome.

Oh, shut up. :P

I'm so going to ignore this. P:

What ever, the stained glass newborns are gorgeus. Especially how the colours fit together, I can't wait to see the next stage.

Atwood wrote:The 3rd Gen litter is my main love of the month so far, and naturally, me being me, I just had to go over them all and identify where their various traits came from and what they'd inherited from their grandparents. As you can probably tell, I've spent way too much time staring at these little guys. XD Genders are assigned pretty much for convenience here:

The Grandparents

The Parents

The Pups

Image
This little guy takes strongly after his parents, though his colours are more reminiscent of Grandpa Balloon. Marking-wise he's pretty much an even mix of Mom and Dad, though he seems to have inherited Gramma Hyena's darker nose and has Grandpa Balloon's muzzle marking rather than Dad's broader one. Face and paws are very much like Dad while his body markings and spot patterns are very much like Mom.

Image
Another even mix, this girl's got Mom's face markings combined with Dad's solid-marked body and spots. Her lovely cream coat and bright white socks in the front are thanks to Grampa Cream, while her socks pattern is very much from Mom, as is the orange colour of her face markings and spots.

Image
Here's the throwback pup - her lighter jaw and cheeks come straight from Grandpa Balloon, she's got a light left ear like Grampa Cream, high socks on the front like Grandpa and Gramma Hyena, and check out those little pink spots on her shoulder she could only have inherited from Grandma Sorbet. ^^ I'm predicting this one might have a heart marking on the body somewhere, as it would fit with her other markings being so much like her grandparents' and there appears to be a heart on her blanket.

Image
The only pup to inherit Dad's white chest, this fellow also got the wandering star marking from Grandpa and Mom and the clean white face markings of Grandma Sorbet. He's got a few darker brown spots mixed in there from Gramma Hyena, too, if you look closely, and the small amount of colour on the paws from Dad. Definitely the oddball of the family with his full white blaze and eye markings, but he'll probably be quite a stand-out with the bright white markings against the dark brown coat.

Wow, I didn't expect this beeing noticed before they grow to their next stage at least. xD
Good eye, I think you caught everything so far.

Yeah, I think the "discussion" puts alot of pressure on the artists. We forget that they are free to adopt, and that the artist don't get paid for their work. If you're gonna come with critisism, at least make it respectful and constructive criticism ;;

Back on-topic: These reminds me of race cars for some reason. It'll be exiting to see what epic design Shima have come up with X3

I still believe
It's you and me 'til the end of time

When we collide we come together
If we don't we'll always be apart
I'll take a bruise, I know you're worth it
When you hit me, hit me h a r d

I'll see your sitting bird and raise you a standing shrimp...dressed in medieval garb gazing out his/her stained glass windows. *nod nod*

Erm...wait. Can a shrimp wear a codpiece? :what:

[in case my gentle sarcasm it isn't crystal clear, I LOVE these pups)

Wow, this is probably the best month since I joined (1 year ago). There isn´t a single pet I don´t like this month, and there are several that I really like :)
