xxxxxYep! There will be a Halloween event with token collecting and trading, as well as freebies during the event. It most likely won't be as complicated or have so much of a plot as the Summer Event, though

Yes, there's four big events throughout the year here on CS: Easter, Summer, Halloween, and the Advent Calendar/Christmas!

Easter, Summer, and Halloween are similar in that you click banners to get tokens and trade them in for pets. Easter and Halloween just have a singular trade in page where the free and token trades show up each day and it usually has like max four different tokens that all come from the banner along with decorative items that have no "real" use besides dress-ups. Halloween usually has a banner pet as well. Summer (as you've already experienced) is more complicated/involved and actually has a storyline, many tokens and places to trade in, and many places on the 'map' to visit.

it sounds like the halloween event won't be quite as hectic as the summer one
anyway, i'll continue my event hype when it actually starts

Your eggs are all a day old already, so it means none of them are going to be turning into tonight's outcome. The person you quoted was talking about their own pets c:
There's nothing special about day ones specifically; people just hope they'll get as many of the different outcomes as possible from their own adopts since it means they won't have to trade for them.
Since we only get a limited amount of newborns, we tend to like it best if we don't get too many of an outcome, especially early in the month - leaves us with more chances to get the remaining ones^^
