So what is going to happen with the list, and all of the list pets? Will they just be considered ‘normal’ I guess?

I’m a tad confused about this. Is the rarity system retiring? What’s going on!?

The rarity systems CS has is not the same thing as the rares list. The rares list was a user constructed list with user made values. The list has been retired so people are allowed to continue using the old non updated list, find a different new list, or come up with their own values

As a side note, as everyone's spewing out questions, it'd be a good idea to take note of the most commonly asked questions from here and put them on the front page of the rares list in a q&a so people don't have to keep asking them after it's locked!!

Hmm, can someone begin to construct an FAQ for me so that I may post it on the front page? Trying to juggle both moving so quickly is an impossible task. Making an FAQ might really reduce the posts here <3

There’s still URs, Special releases and Sept ‘08 and August ‘08 rares that are worth a decent amount more than December ‘08 rares or Jan ‘09 ones
Nothing crazy like the gap suggests, a handful of uncommons or so not including the OMGSRs

Up to you! There’s several rarity projects spiking up, I’d suggest browsing around for them. Nothing thats done yet of course, but a place to start

How you trade is up to you. You may either use the old guide, use one of the alternative trading guides being created, or decide your own values

So what I'm getting from this is that you can either

A) Stick to the lists and normal rarity of it (even as it does not update)

B) do both list / popular demands (Ie. BMD = sorbet Raven- non ect. but some lists like red and green holly stay as the rarity it was assigned on the list)

C) You decide on your own what you want and what you don't want by just the look/quantity of the pets traded and no rarity / demands getting in the way to cloud judgment

D) We as a community eventually work out what we value more or less over the time it's retired and kinda make an unsaid rule? Like Animal jam. Where it kinda has that unspoken guide to rarity that u just kinda slide into eventually? (I haven't played since 2013 mind you so this fact may make no sense)
