Not sure if this was done intentionally or not but wouldn't that just be the Largest Single Variation PPS Cat Hoard rather than a design hoard now? If it was left there for a reason please ignore me. I just saw it and wondered. =)

It's a design hoard in the sense that the Design is the PPS status of the pet.
Buuuut I suppose the category IS obsolete now that all major species have their own PPS category.
I understand the concept of the category Bequerel currently holds, since they hoard all PPS pets, not just one species.
But the Litter and Single Variation ones should probably be restricted to those species who don't have their own categories, I guess. Otherwise they really don't make much sense any more.

I'd agree to changing mine to Largest Single Variation Cat PPS.
It beats the currect record, so there shouldn't be a problem.

Edit: The malk category in general is a bit confusing.

Do the Largest Owl Litter and Largest Single Variation Spider pet hoard simply not exist yet, but could be added?
And wouldn't it make sense to then restrict the "Largest Malk Pet", "Largest Malk Pet Litter" and "Largest Single Variation Malk Pet" hoards to the species that were NOT regulars? That is, all the ones that aren't spiders or owls. Currently, owls and spiders are still allowed for those two records, despite having their own categories as well.
I'd gladly move my Largest Malk Litter hoard to a new "Largest Owl Litter" category to make way for someone with a litter hoard of non-owl/spider malk pets ;)

It's still a design hoard. Remember that hoard records can go into many different categories. A 2010 common dog hoard qualifies for it's species, it's year, it's rarity etc. I don't see much difference in having the PPS category as a design hoard. Quite frankly, I find it really silly the number of people that have been constantly asking for more PPS categories and not even a month later after I have added them, someone says now there's too many and some need to be removed.

Do you now see why I am constantly hesitant about adding new categories? It's almost never adding "just one" new category. Add one category, add five others to make it fair to the other sections and now you have to take away three others to maintain some sort of balance. Thus far, I've been pretty lucky about letting those that have records keep them. Wouldn't you be pretty upset if your hoard was taken off the records one day? For the sole reason of, "Yeah, some other people made a new category so we just deleted yours because now it makes no sense."

The Malk category, yes there's slots for single variations but no one has entered for them yet but I'd like to phase out the owl and spiders eventually so I'm probably not even going to add those categories. What is there can stay because it's grandfathered in.
It's an example of a category that was added way too soon as these two species were regular adopts for only 9 months out of five years and to me, should not exist as a category by themselves. I'm not going to be expanding the Malk records.

Alright, if you only kept the Owls and Spiders seperate because you didn't want to delete the hoards from the list, then it makes sense c: I just didn't know that, I thought they were still 'active'.
As for the PPS - ah, if you see it that way, I understand ^^
Sometimes my brain needs a little prod to grasp things xD
I don't want to reduce any categories just because there's too many - I only didn't really see the sense in a general Litter/Single Var PPS catergory now that the seperate species ones exist. I suppose I saw the PPS ones kind of as a solution to the fact that previously only Dogs had their own PPS category - if they're going to stay as a design hoard, then they're going to stay ^^
