I have a purple true-date VR grinner.

Same question for an UR BW?

Hard to say, but take a look at the rares list.
My suggestion is a UR Tiger dog + a normal VR/grinner

What if I added this pet and a whole set of current store dogs.

Would it effect the trade if this dog was a true-date 2009 VR?

Skelly is less than the Sunback. I beliebe the Skelly is the 24th rarest pet on CS, and the sunback is much higher. If you payed a sunback for a skelly, you would be extremely overpaying. A sunback is just below the coontail dog.
