Hm, it could mauybe be a fold in the map.
And treasure is the x, not the 3dimensional bump. ouo

I'm really hoping for map rats, if not pirate rats.

Hmmmmm...all those little dots. I agree that the colors seem like dusk. Could they be constellation ponies? Because that would be all kinds of epic.
