Eh, whatever it is I'm leaning towards some sort of myth. Probably Greek or Roman. But who knows.

Well let's sum it up.

The lightest coloured one looks timid and naive.
The in between coloured one looks neutral and wise.
The darkest coloured one looks aggressive.

They also remind me of meer cats. (Or however you spell them.) xD
