Masks... face paint. Still freaks me out. xD My mom has this porcelain doll of one (a jester). I hate that thing. Doesn't help it's a doll. Dolls are scary. Like especially old porcelain ones like the jester one my mom has. *shudders*

I think my mom has one of those dolls too or did... or maybe it was my grandmother's. I just know it had the jestery hat and the face paint. I didn't bother me though. The dolls that freak me out are those older style of ventrilquist dolls like in those movies LOL.

Anyway, I do agree that the pup looks kind of like the Star Wars character, but I highly doubt its gonna be that because that would be copyrighted. I don't see a Sphinx though. And someone said it looks kind of like a ram. I can kind of see that too LOL. We probably won't know for sure until it grows up. I think we've had a jester pup before though haven't we? One of the April Fools Day pets?

Does anyone else think Moonflight is doing this pet this year? I think they are so similar that is must be Moonflight! (:

I still REALLY do not see a Sphinx. Maybe an anubis, if you took a LONG shot-- like, the bands could be bracelets, yadda-- but a Sphinx is HIGHLY unlikely.
I think people are counting too much on the fact that the ears might combine into a headdress, but, looking at the past history of the the staff dogs, there really aren't any /severe/ enough changes from 2nd stage to adult for such a completely different phase to happen, if you ask me.

I agree, well said! The sphinx also has a cat/lion head not a dog's head and it would be hard to make a cat/lion head without completely changing the lineart.

I agree, if you look at her lineart from 2009 its the same too, so I think its pretty obvious who made this pet. =)

I completely agree, all three dogs have some sort of dot and wave pattern. Also, the shading is identical.
