I just genuinely never realized they were different and it made me wonder how, because in hindsight it's not even that subtle
It's always fun to find out something - as you can see, it even caught the artist off guard xD Good eye!

Oh no. Did I start something? I probably shouldn't have pointed out the differences in the necks of the does and bucks. It seems it's made a few people a little uncomfy. I'm sorry y'all. I thought it was a cool little detail. ;w;

idk, I initially thought it was intentional myself; hormones are complicated things, and their effects can be long-lasting or even permanent (a trans woman friend of mine once commented to me that "testosterone is forever"), so it made sense to me that a trans doe might retain the buck's thicker neck.

That said: as a general note, Doglike has already chimed in to clarify it was an oversight (a common one, if I'm reading the room right!), so I don't think it's productive to go looking for ill intent where there isn't any.

On another note, could our remaining macaw be a varied bunting? I do think tonight's is a purple finch, as was guessed previously.

agreed, the pride macaws are absolutely gorgeous but they'd be even cooler with that lineart where their wings are spread out and you can see even more color!

Normally I would agree, but as they're all pride-related I think it's better that they all had the same lineart (regardless of which) to avoid showing favoritism for certain genders/orientations. We are all equals.

It has nothing to do with favoritism or gender/orientation. Just would show more of the colors and gradients. .-.
