Unfair to them. The pets you’re able to get with those items (even if all the token pets become Rares) don’t add up to the pets on their side.

No. There's a 2 year gap between the lion and the malk; not to mention, malk pets tend to have more demand than regular pets. I would not recommend taking this.

Their pet is from 2012, while yours is from 2010, so based on dates it is unfair to you. 4 uncommons from 2012 would equal 1 from 2010. Some people value certain pets higher based on demand, but both lions and malk cats have good demand, so it is still unfair to you.

This one was actually quite a bit of overpay on your side. Your pets are worth a 2012 rare, and theirs is only from 2016. They might have just preferred their lion over your pets though.
