Guide to ‘Official’ CS Dog Names

Most of the Multistaffs last year ended up being known by just the artist's name, but there are a couple that gained very common other names (like the Malk Mutant), so those ones ended up with a permanent split name. With the Malk pup this year, I suspect Angler will stick more than Merpup as an alternate name as that seems to be what most people think first when they see it, and others may gain or lose alternate names, but we'll have to wait and see on that. :3

With the 2nd Gens, I was thinking something like Black Coraline 2nd Gen or Smiling Halloween 2nd Gen for this one:

as it's got the Coraline markings and also has the smile which is (so far) unique to it within its litter. There's also the white tail, which stands out from the rest of the litter.

The redder one takes more after the Blood Demon, so maybe something like Dark Blood 2nd Gen, but that one's a bit harder to pin down since it doesn't have any one feature that really jumps out as an identifying mark compared to the others. Could also just be boring and call it the White-Fronted Halloween 2nd Gen. X3

For the orange/navy litter, a lot of people have being calling them the Strawberry Dart Frog Litter. Perhaps Dart Frog or Strawberry Frog? Or the full name.

For the Angler/'10 Malk Staff/Merpup, I haven't seen it called Merpup, just Mermalk.

The Smiling Halloween 2nd Gen I have seen being referred to as that... however, the scowling one hasn't really found a name, so I think that White-Fronted Halloween 2nd Gen is a pretty good name for easy recognition. I think of them as the Spoiled Halloween 2nd Gen, but again, nobody has seemed to really be referring to those by a particular name. X3

So far, I've seen that name used a grand total of twice. ;3 For now, the names Lava, Fire and Orange/Navy seem the most commonly used ones.

For the Angler/'10 Malk Staff/Merpup, I haven't seen it called Merpup, just Mermalk.

There's about an even mix of people calling it Merpup or Mermalk as far as I can tell - for now, I'm going with Merpup just to keep it in the right age frame, but once it grows Mermalk may become the more common of the two nicknames.

I'm pretty sure it's not an angler fish dog (it growls when I say that) but rather a mermaid of the abysses.
And it seems to really like the mutant dog I made last year ...

has it been confirmed that the pup is malk's?

For the November Fire/Lava Litter, there's also a bobtail red-eyed pup. I don't have it, but I've seen it. Just a heads up(:

That's the bobtailed black second gen. It's with the August 08 dogs.
