Bit of some plans:
- Adding a triva/funfacts section; quick fun facts that didn't make the first post
- stamps; for people who want to show support

I'll try and get these rolled out soon, rn I'm planning on updating my GUPPS/pet/item thread first; since it needs a desperate update.

If anyone has any suggestions, anything you'd like to see, or have some fun CS lore to add; do let me know!!

let Gravy know he is missed! he did such a good job compiling all these bits of history. this was a very fun thread to follow ♡

If the rainbow smoothie is on here, I feel like vampiric's art contest should be, too. The chicken-o flag, shirt, and hats items were only obtainable from participating/winning, and they were obtainable as a bundle. There were three parts you could enter. Part A was drawing a CS pet, part B was writing a poem, and part C was creating a slogan -- all had to relate to Chicken-Os in some way. It ran from Aug 24, 09 through Sept 7, 09.



Since anthrocon was also mentioned, I think it's worth mentioning that if you brought a hat to Vampiric (who attended), you could get Vampiric's Birthday Hat.

I think you should add Vampiric's hat. I mentioned it awhile ago, but it might have been forgotten.

Some history was made today! The rats had an error and was all marked PPS, including the still-growing ones. This was fixed 5 minutes after rollover.

A fun thing to add to your pound history section could be the old "message from your pet" that mentioned euthanasia. Link

Awwwww, I'll never forget that day when you adopted me from the pound . They were going to put me to sleep because nobody wanted me, but then you came and stroked me softly through the bars of my cage and took me home with you. And now you're sending me away and I won't be able to be with you any more . I hope my new owner will be as kind as you were to me.

And apprently the reason pound pets sent you messages in the first place was to discourage you from trading them away, when that was frowned upon by Tess, and it just never got removed (aside from the euthanasia part). Link

Pound pets ARE tradeable and you don't get punished for trading them out, but it is 'frowned upon' hence the sad message that comes up when you try and trade one.

It's sort of against pound rules to trade them, but we still leave it up to the owner to trade incase they have a genuine reason to, like if they dont play much anymore.

A bit of CS history I had the pleasure of running into but that didn't make the newsletter cut: it seems like the whole idea of trading pets, one of the quintessential features of the game these days, came from a user suggestion! Anyone who enjoys trading pets should go give Aeonian some love <3

I found something pretty interesting! While looking through old chicken smoothie videos on youtube i found a video posted on April 1st 2015 by Chicken smoothie tutorials, the video shows a joker chair pet in the pound ( I'm guessing it was unobtainable, and just added as an April fools prank )

I have never seen anyone mention this before, so i think it would be a cool thing to add this thread!
Oh and also, the video shows the game being called Furnipets, and i found a post made on the same day as the video mentioning the game being called Furnipets, does anyone remember this happening?
