I just looked a bit and ask google nearly a hundred times with tags xD
I found a piece of the old layout

Older, Layout, it isn't the oldest xD
but yeah, I remember that one quite well :3

I remember the oldest, but I can't find a screenshot or anything like that from the layouts... hmh

I remember when there were no items, no trade, and the old bornw-ish layout. There weren't as many members, and no oekaki. Having the old september dogs was nothing back when I started. x]

There were no newbie helpers, oekaki mods, or roleplay mods.
The pets had no limit, you could adopt as many as you'd like.
No store, as I said, no items to go in it.

I remember very well the days before the trading centre existed and when there were no limits on pets you could adopt.
I also remember adopting September 08s out for free when I first joined because I adopted around thirty of each newborn and had too many floppy pink outcomes. xD
Collecting is more challenging and fun now there is a limit to the number of newbrons you can adopt, but adopting about one hundred of each was pretty fun D8

I do remember when Warrior Cats, and Grey 2nd Gens absolutely flooded the Pound and everybody's free adoption folders. You couldn't GIVE them away. Now people are actually HAPPY when they get a Warrior Cat or Grey 2nd Gen in an actual TRADE.

Um, we are most likely always talking about the older layout, the one before that. ^_^
