"The" Rares List Guide - Do not ask about new UR's!

I have two mini-suggestions

since their demand is about equal at almost none, the UR mint horse and unickorn might be better off at the same level since they tend to be pretty swappable

and

I've been offered a zebra+ extra for my dogtag multiple times, maybe it could be moved up to be atleast equal to the higher zebras?

I have not seen any swaps between unicks and mint horses. I did see swaps between unicks and nondogs, and id say its still sorta wanted. Atleast more wamted n the horse.

As for the zebra thing. Both zebras and dogtag are in fairly low demand and people seem to want to get rid of the zebras. I dont think a move would be smart, since then people will be forced to pay more, while now its an overpayment they are willing to make.

Not often at all. Perhaps once a year to add the URs from the previous year and only again if there seems to be a agreement among reliable persons that certain pets should be moved up or down. Which is rare.

Why are the dressed up Advent Rats in the mid/low Advent section, but the Panda Rats, Pumpkin Rats, and Natural Advent Rats turned VR before them, and Skeleton Rat with him? Surely some of those are nearly as popular? Is a Santa Rat really worth an 08 Advent while the rarer Tabby Advent rat is only worth an early 09 rare? That gap just seems too big to me, but I don't really see rats move about much.

Also, Jack-O-Lantern rat was ridiculously hard to find when I was looking for one, just as much so with Rose Rat. They turned VR in July 2010. I know they don't have much demand but their supply has almost dried up. I am wondering if Jack-O-Lantern Rat could be considered for inclusion on the bottom line of the Advent List? It's as rare as the 08 Halloween Cat.

Just thinking about rats. Their current perceived values seem a bit all over the place at the moment.

Can you link me to all those? I believe I know the ones you're talking about, but I want to make sure I have them so I can place them. The panda rats and the pumpkin [skeleton rat should be on there] but the natural VR '08 advent ones aren't worth very much at all, I usually say around a high 09 rare dog.

I've always wondered about that myself...for the most part rats in general go for next to nothing, even Rare's list ones unless a person is trying to use it as trade fodder in auctions, but as far as others actually trading for them it seems no one wants to trade fairly for them Certainly not an advent's list even if they're worth that much

I also wondered about the Jack-o-lantern rat. I had one a while back, I thought it was on the Rare's list but I guess not, but it's only one of maybe three I've even seen around the site. It's true; they aren't in much demand at all, however I've barely seen any of them. I'm not sure if it's just people aren't trading them or they're really going that scarce?

Also, opposite of what a lot of others have been saying...is the BA ever going to go down the list? Even a couple spots like Angel Advent or White Dragon level or something? I know it has a lot of demand, but it's already been said that it's ridiculously high and should be on the list with the other Advent's, and it's worth the same as them. Regardless of the fact that people are paying sorbet's or Toxics I think it's been established it's not even worth it's placement on the list and certainly not a mid or high main Rare's list pet.

Or am I wrong to assume it might help to lessen some of the ridiculous overpays people are demanding as fair?

Plus, as far as Sorbet's go, I think it's been said by some of the others that frequent the Fair Trade Chat that Sorbet's, while low in demand, are starting to gain demand again because of how they've been traded, as well as newer users that have yet to get and want them

I though the rares list showed where all the rares were . . .? You mean they only show the most rare stuff? Aww man, I was looking forward to checking this thing out. It's going to be a very long time before I need this thing: I've it none of them . . .

Exactly, Silentsmoke is completely correct. And, if this list showed where all the rares were, you have no idea how unbearably long that would take. Do you know how many rares are on the site? Besides, we wouldn't need a list like that because so many 09 rares are swappable that you don't really need a guide. As for the older pets like toxics and sorbets, it is hard to tell their true value so that is why they are listed.

Maybe, but I cant help but be disappointed . . . and the "How much is this pet worth?" thread takes such a long time to respond. Half the time mine never gets answered.

Do you know how extremely complicated it would be to have to involve every single rare?
As Thunder said, most 2009 rares, for example, are swappable anyways. Even if the "How much is this pet worth?" thread is flawed, sorry, it's the best compromise, and it works reasonably well- what do you propose they do about it that is reasonable-or even possible without intricating many many other difficult problems? Not all rares are more valuables than all uncommons, anyway- I wouldn't value a 2012 March rare horse over a 2009 Uncommon, would you?

Thanks guys for handling that. If I were to put every rare on this list, I would probably need a completely new thread, and it would just be very impractical. Many rares can just be inter-swapped and there are so many. Plus it would be way too much work for me. A quick check in on the FTT or even a PM to Me, DaDwarf or Pideaux can answer your questions.
