I know this is late but whatever
i saw around 3 pages of those guys before the pound opened??? at first I thought a user hoarded then but then donated them to the pound, but they were all from different people?
I also saw quite a few pages of the same pets in that particular pound opening, so I don't know what happened there but its pretty cool ;v;

Yep, since two Days the Pound starts with around 900 Pets so maybe the Pound Owner are afraid they run out of Pets? ^.^

Might just be that they're testing out new settings for the way the Pound fills up (the process is automated). The Pound owns over 2 million pets, it's not gonna run out any time soon.

I still hope that somehow, someday, the pound implements older pets showing up later. While the pound isn't about rare hunting, spreading those valued pets around more evenly (especially to late visitors) would bring more fairness to all users and not just the fast ones.

the whole purpose of the pound if I remember correctly is the give new users and stuff a chance
to get older pets. It would make sense to spread out the older pets more evenly to give more people
a chance to get older pets as that is the main reason for the pound in the first place.

I hope one day the pound can work like that but who knows, all we can do is wait and hope
