Even though it was several pages back, I'd like to apologize to Sublime and take a moment to explain myself.

I knew nothing of any kind of gossip going on over this trade. I knew that Gren had gotten a banana because I saw the thread asking about the release of a banana this month, and I knew she had traded for it because my friend told me that she'd noticed Gren had suddenly gotten some new rares, and didn't seem to have her banana anymore. I knew nothing more about it than that. I don't know too much about the value of a banana- I know it's worth more than a Joker, and is apparently worth more than the other UR pets, but can't figure much more than that. I also had no idea about any sort of relationship between Gren and whoever had gotten her banana- because I had no idea who she'd traded with.

My posting here was mostly for insight into the situation- because that was all the information I had. And looking at it from that view point, wouldn't it seem a little unfair to you, too?

That said, I would like to sincerely apologize for bringing the subject up in the first place, and for any insult caused to Sublime or Gren by doing so. I'd also like to thank Sublime for taking the time to explain the trade, even if it was due to annoyance caused by myself.

And... sorry, as well, if this is so epically late that no one really cares anymore and it's just spam now. ^^;




To bring this back onto topic, sort of... Can we rant about stupid trades we accepted by mistake? Because I accepted someone's offer for my White Sortic... it was an Easter hunt rabbit that I thought was rare, but turned out to only be uncommon, and I'm feeling really stupid for accepting that trade so quickly. I overestimated the value of bunnies. *headdesks* Was it as dumb a trade to accept as I'm being told it is? Or did I not lose out too much?

You didn't lose out terribly too much, I find it easy to trade bunnies for what I want.. but then again I have the largest collection of them (well.. until i get them back from my friend who's holding onto them for me xD)

I did recieve more trades in the past few days, and I think they're getting worse O_x; So far, 80% of them have been "OMG how did you get this?!?! You're so new! Edit so I can trade?!?! Kthanx, oh and don't cancel"

Well... Sort of like that except more... nubcaekish... xD; The only decent trade I've recieved was from an older user who PMed me about the trade first ^^ Why can't there be more nubs like that DX

I think it would be worth noting that not everyone on CS can read minds, and new players especially may not be aware of the unspoken rules/etiquette of trading. It would seem just as much a matter common sense that, a group that shows up on the list of available groups to trade with...would, y'know, be ok to trade with. It's pretty easy to make an honest mistake here, and I think all of us (myself included) would do well to notice the difference between that and the blatantly stupid ones that are so amusing to read about in this thread.

As far as on-topic goes...anyone else ever get fed up when you have to cancel a trade yourself because the other person refuses to respond? (and you weren't even the one who initiated it...)

Ick, I hate seeing trades I've responded to sitting there, waiting for a response. It's so irritating.
I would understand if the person trading was having second thoughts, and was hesitant, but I would much prefer it if they told me they were reluctant to trade, rather than just leaving it sitting there.
