I assumed from the beginning the leaves on the pups were olive branches; now that they're all grown, the bulk of their markings remind me of military camouflage, with the olive branches embracing the camo to create a kind of "war and peace" motif. Note that the PPS is the only one of the four whose design is predominantly branches, with hardly any camo-colored mottling at all.
I could be completely wrong, of course, but it struck me all of a sudden and I wanted to share. ^^;; I'd love to hear EmberWolf's thoughts now that they're grown!
Also, it almost goes without saying, but this litter is gorgeous. All three of them have blown me away, and DisabledLlama's Copic litter (it's all I could think of, they really remind me of Copics lol) has me on the edge of my seat! Y'all are really setting the bar high in 2021
That's an awesome analysis and I *wish* I had come up with a neat concept like thatReally, I've just been saving this palette for a little while and wanted to use it, so I just did some spotty and leafy things with little thought. But I really like this idea and think it's fitting for them.
I'm glad you liked them regardless <3
I figured I'd also mention the hamsters designs. They weren't based on dalmatians, cookies n cream, or those sort of things. I actually based them off of plover eggs, because I think they look neat and I like that they come in quite the range of super spotty to not so spotty![]()
