because i got a trade and i thought the cat was a rare, for my rare cat, but its now an uncommon?

Yep, they went down to rare, because there were so many people who got them from the store

As far as I'm aware, Longtail has always been uncommon ^^

I just spend hours rearranging all my trade-able pets
And almost all of my trade fodder is now very common/common I used to have 1 group called omgsc-common but I have so many very commons and commons now that I had to give all rarities there own group

Plus the corgi I still need is still very rare and the double I have turned rare
So I can just forget getting a simple swap now

Wow...just.......wow.

so I went through my folders as I organize base on rarity. Not a single pet went up in rarity, all of them went down. From Very Rares all the way to Very Commons, everything went down in rarity.

I'm in complete shock. I mean, I know that rarity is based upon active accounts, but I think its ridiculous that so many people are become "active" again to cause such an insane drop in rarities. And for all we know, these people could be logging in for one time and then disappearing again, leaving the system to think they are active when they aren't. I don't know if I feel cheated or if I feel mislead or what, but this is very confusing and almost frustrating in some ways. And this whole 'don't worry, their rarities will increase again' doesn't really help, because they won't increase for another 6 months if I remember correctly, cause once the account is logged into, it will take 6 months of inactivity because the pets aren't counted for.

Ever since the change in the way rarities are done, I haven't been sure I quite agree with the system or not. I mean, its a good way to do it but at the same time stuff like this can really jack it up.

Aww. That's kinda sad, seeing that store pets are supposed to be very rare.
This was a huge update, I lost most of my raffle pets (turned into uncommon) and my omgsr rat turned into vr. :c As far as I see, nothing has went up, which kinda disappoints me.

How does this effect trading? Are three some things that are always higher just because of . What they are? This is my first big change here.

store pets can be rare, when you buy a store pet, it doesnt state that they end up very rare, store pets are just like other pets on the site, their rarity is determined like all other pets on the game, the only difference is, store pets are never re-released during dec 18th

a lot of my pets rarity changed, for the most part, im actually quite happy since now some of my hoard pets went from uncommon to common, or common to very common, which includes the 2011 november staff ratdog, which was uncommon and is now common

and my list rats that were OMGSR are now VR, i remember the speckled rats going from OMGSR to VR then up to OMGSR again, the dark heart was VR, went to OMGSR, and is now back to VR

the only OMGSR rat that stayed was the UR rat

I noticed not just here but over CS that people keep saying that the store pets are suppose to be very rare. Oo I'm confused, I don't see where it states in the store or anywhere that store pets are VR. It all base on how many people buy. I think there was a set of dogs that were so popular, their rarity when they first got their tag was Rare. So yeah, their rarity changing doesn't bother me.
