Some people's autos are outrageous!

I saw a common July/August 08 in an auction. Can't remember what exactly but their auto was a zebra + a banana! That's just crazy! Each are worth twice as much as what they were offering.

I hate no end date auctions. I'm not saying that you have to have a set date when you first start your auction or if you aren't getting any bids but once they start rolling in, set a date! You offer someone a crap load of pets and you have no clue if you are going to get it this week or a month from now.

Also, keep who's in the lead up to date or at least marked someway! Nobody is going to bid more if they don't know what to beat!

And if the auction is close to 2 people winning, the kind thing to do is to PM that person and see if they would increase their offer. I just lost out on one of my last dream pets because someone came in at the last moment and offered just a little more. I had the pets to offer but I didn't get the chance to increase my bid. I guess its their loss.

The way I see it about auto's is, they want the best offer they can get. If someone is willing to pay their auto, obviously they really want the pet. When I had a few auctions, I always put my auto's high. I never once expected to get that, but it was out there for someone who really wanted my pets.

There are a few things I don't like about auctions, it seems to me people want you to offer your absolute best first, like if your offer isn't even 'good enough' they don't even look at you. But if you pull all out in the beginning, you are a sitting duck for someone who swoops in at the last minute.

I don't like how auctions don't have end dates 'until they get an offer they like' it's pretty much makes me think that if I offer and the auction doesn't end my bid must not be good enough when I refuse to add more or I'd be overpaying =/ in fact one auction I'm in my bid has been up on a dog for nearly 2 weeks and it's not over. I'm thinking of withdrawing simply because I don't want to wait a month when other people might want the pets.

I understand that one Diamonte! I have an auction going on at the moment and after I get 3 bids, I'll set the end date. That way I know I'm getting offers. And when I do set the end date, its going to be for a week. Maybe less. I don't like auctions that last forever.

I'm ready to give up on ever bidding on auctions again.

As for a second time, I've wasted my time, and pets bidding on an auction for pets that I genuinely WANT! Lasted a month. heard hardly anything from the seller, except when I PMed them, and today they canceled the auction without any winners! If they thought my bid was crap, then they should of said something, instead of being rude like this, and saying hardly anything, much less updating.

I hate when I enter a contest, offer something great that was perfectly fair, with a little more added to it to make it extra good, then they cancel the auction saying that they didn't get an offer that 'wowed' them, I understand if you get offers that are way under price, but I offer over price, I guess they expect July 08' in a common 09' rare. .__.

CE galaxy Dog
Any Sorbet
Any Toxic
Any other 08 Rares that I approve

Yeah.. I understand wanting a good deal, but asking for July and August 08 VRs for a rare from this month is just plain silly. By that estimation, I should be able to get multiple OMG So Rares for my dragons, since they are more rare than the lion. Anyone want to offer some?

Autos should be something you have at least a prayer of getting from people in return for what you are auctioning, not something that makes people go "Lol" and move on to the next auction.

See, that'd be slightly more than fair and thus makes a good auto. I can see that working for one. People just get so greedy imo. I'm perfectly willing to overpay a tiny bit in order to get what I want immediately.. that's why I look for auctions with reasonable autos. But the ones I see lately are so far away from reasonable as to be ludicrous.
