I did some research, and I think it's possible that the blue dog is not a blue jay, but some kind of kingfisher.

My main issue is that it appears to have white outlines of legs/feet on its front legs, too. If you look below the wings, you should see what I mean. :3

I always assumed they were wearing the skins over themselves like cloaks, so if that's true the blue dog doesn't necessarily need to be based on a four-legged creature. I'm not fully convinced it's a blue-jay either, but I see no reason it can't be a bird--maybe a Roc or some other mythical being xD

I was thinking that this one was based on either the costumes from swan lake, a peacock or a mythical bird.

Absolutely adore the colors <3

But I must say I love the science nerdy feeling to a lot of the litters this month!
Chess dogs, bismuth rats, cave painting horses and ponies and science butterfly wolves! So much love =D

2014 kicked in with a GREAT january =3

It's hard to have a favorite out of all the wonderful pets (=^ェ^=) but the blue SoulWings is definitely in my top three.

So today I discovered my chinese zodiac sign: The snake. xD

And oh my gosh,such wonderful pets! The deers,the dragons,the horses,the dog... I'm just so happy of this event! ♥
Also,the dragons of this event are my first dragons on this game. Time to create a new group for them! C=


And this little PPS horse is the first horse I have with this lineart! =3

I love the dragons. Sadly I only got one.

I love the PPS horse too. Its beautiful. I love the colors.

Yeah but that's exactly what I was referring to. It has the outline of legs/feet -on- its legs/feet, just like the others, which would be part of the "pelt" it is wearing. That is what I was trying to say. Birds don't have four feet. I could be wrong about those being the outlines of legs/feet but that's certainly what it looks like to me. For all I know, it could just be the coloring of it that makes it look that way. Everyone thought the yellow one was based on some sort of bird, too, but it turns out it's based on a Pegasus and you can see hoof outlines on front and back legs, front underneath the wing like on this one.
