I was going to ask the same question. Glad I looked through the posts first to see the artist FleshCanvas had an answer.

Another thought I have had (off topic) is CS COULD come out with sponsored store pets. These could have been McDonalds, but how about Mars Wrigley? And have store pets branded with m&m's, snickers, mars bars, etc. The store sponsorship possibilities are endless.
I may ask people what they would like to see in a new forum post...

you know.. chicken.. nugget... why'd we get bunnies? feel like that's a missed opportunity. They're cute tho

The thing with this is that CS just isnt big enough. there are a lot of people on this site but if you ask a random person on the street if they know what Chicken Smoothie is, vs asking them about anything else MCD has sponsored, you're likely not going to get anyone that knows CS. MAYBE something like Neopets would get it back in their heyday, but...

I mean itd be cool. and we have pets based on things like Steven Universe and such. but theyre generic enough designs that they can just say theyre based on gemstones without infringing copyright.

dog that works a 9-5 and gets paid less than minimum wage store pet would go hard ngl, we should start getting big brands on this website I think.

i too would hate cs to be overrun with ads(i already lived this on multiple pet sites, worst of all was neopets), but i DO think it would be funny if cs sponsored a restaurant to make actual real life chicken smoothies tho. or at least say they are gonna do that for an april fools day joke or something.

I'm sorry, but no. Tess and co. had enough of the copyright infringement years before and a lot complained about the sitting cats being so close to looking like the Warrior cats thing. Then there was an artist that copied lines from another site, etc. The funny nuggets were only for the day or month chicken nuggets and nothing more. Best drop this before it gets out of hand.

We should! Imagine if CS got sponsored by HarperCollins and we got new Warrior Cats! I doubt CS is well known enough for sponsorships though…

I really like the dogs a lot this month. I'm not usually a massive fan of the dog lineart, but the warm browns and interesting patterns really work out. I saw someone compare them to pencil shavings and I love that thought.

I don't think there's a way for "discussing silly joke ideas" to get out of hand..? its just a fun conversation topic for people to have. Not like people are truly expecting it to happen. no fun allowed

i have literally complained every single day to cs user therapy about this for the past week and they can vouch 😭 WAKE UP
