(Not really familiar with the rates list that much ^^; I know a few here and there, but I just kinda got back into this, so forgive me!)
The first one is an '08 rare. Generally worth another '08 rare within 3 months, but the card dog litter has good demand so you could probably get a bit of overpay for it.
The second one is from Aug '09 and goes by the 3 month rule, no special demand that I know of.

In theory the Pink September is worth about 4-5 mid advents. That litter has poor demand and tends to go for slight underpay, though.

Actually, that rat is a 5th tier advent list pet, worth 6-7 '09 rares. You're right that rats have low demand and often go for underpay, but that rat's starting value is higher than a regular '08 VR. =)
