By chance were these items designed after the water village in Bionicle? Absolutely valid if like they weren't at all, but Ga-Wahi was my favorite place in the Bionicle world so I just was curious.

Unfortunately I have not seen bionicle before so it wasn’t inspired by it x)
They were inspired by a game called Synergy, it’s a fun game but I’m terrible at it. I really liked the organic shape of the buildings and one of the game mechanic was about water for the village. So I made a coastal village!
