That was mentioned before. It's the summer cacoon and my sister and I spent a while staring at it trying to figure out why it was sad. Maybe because summer is ending?

Hurr hurr, if you think that's the right theory, go for it xD But I'll warn you now that all references in the riddle have to be right for me to answer yes or no

But wait. If the references are right then how can you answer no?

The way I see it you can either answer "yes" or not answer because:
The riddle is being answered in terms of that ragged pup so if the ragged pup isn't yours then the references can't ever be right because the riddle was applied to the wrong dog. If you answer because the references are right then obviously the pup is yours.

I suppose someone could figure out exactly what you mean but apply it to the wrong pup, but if they know exactly what the riddle means and how it applies to the dog then I don't see how they could get it wrong. x)

Metallic Dragon I have caught you! Your pet is: You told me to 'keep my ears sharp' and I did just that! R2R does mean rags to riches, and this pup literally is wearing rags. Your pup's ears are edited and so was the one from last year-that's the connection between them. I've been waiting for this, please tell me i'm right!

Little thieves and tabby cats. (Not really sure what this has in connection, but "little thieves" probably means poverty)
Fallen leaves then golden mats. (R2R again. From fallen leaves as your carpet/flooring, to golden mats.)

To escape my fate and be redone. (The pup wondering about his good fortune and fate later on)

In addition, Metallic Dragon stated earlier that there is yellow in the design, and yellow is in the colour scheme of this pup.
