Does anyone know what the food items you get from the castle are used for? Are they just decorative or are they quest items?

And I just got meat.... apparently convincing myself that I don't like lions works (but now I have to convince myself that I like them again )

All I have received from the Forest during the previous four hours is grass and treble berries o_o;; GIVE ME MEAT!

Lol, I did this hunt from 9:30 pm to 2:30 am, then slept for two hours, then did it again from about 4:45 to now, 7:07. XD I'm obsessed. I get this preoccupied with it during every hunt event, like Easter and Halloween. I love them so much, the hunts. :3

Doesn't anyone know? I'm reluctant to trade away these items until I know for sure they aren't used for anything.
