Do new event pets usually drop day-of? I keep checking the front page for when the Valentine's Day pets will be available :lol:

For events besides the big four (Easter, Summer, Halloween, Advent), they're released on the day of the holiday and are available for a little while. Just remember to account for CS's timezone compared to yours! If you live in the Americas for example, the Valentine's pets will actually be first available on the 13th in the late afternoon/evening.

Since I see you just joined right at the end of last year here's how the big events work!

• Advent is one a day in December until Christmas Day with each gift only available for 24 hours. December 18th is a special day where the gift is a re-release of older rare+ pets.
• Easter and Halloween have the same setup where there's free adopts and adopts you can purchase with tokens collected throughout the event through banners found at the bottom of the page. All the pets/items are available until the end. Those two usually start the week before the actual holiday.
• And then the summer event is the big one, typically starting near the end of July. It has free and token adopts too, but there's a map with different areas to visit and various npcs that give out stuff. Token pets/items are always available for the whole event but sometimes the free stuff will cycle so you want to be sure to visit all the areas every day. Summer event also usually has at least two sets of tokens, one found in the banners and another through a specific place on the map.

Ok I admit I’m impatient do we know when Lunar new year will be bc last year it was in January and the year before it was the first of February

this year lunar new year falls on february 10th,
so i would assume that's the day we get pets as well :3

For single-day events like Valentine's Day and Lunar New Year the pets will drop at rollover day-of! Longer events that involve banner collecting (like Easter) start earlier and lead up to the holiday over time.
