Thanks, that data is quite useful!
There are a lot of "Other Pet" in the last few data sets so if we do any more counting, we may need to pick different IDs.

I would say that once we're done with the August sets we want to do, it may be good to pick a rerelease to count. This way we could check and see if the ratios match up. If they don't, I would think it would be good to know as we would then have the issue of not really knowing which pets are rarer. (Sorry if this didn't make sense. I just woke up so my brain may not be switched on yet. XD)

Ugh I didn't realize I would have less free time at home than at school >.> give me back my own schedule D:<

I have tried to do something I am not sure if mathematically correct; can someone with a good understanding of maths/statistics help me out? I tried to compare pets across litters by weighting their values, using 100 per litter outcome as the weight. I am unsure if this is valid to do. I can send the data to anyone who wants to look at it. I don't want to post it here incase it is complete nonsense.

It sounds good except my only worry is (I bet you can guess by now)

randomness of data sample (didn't we just... take the whole stretch of 20xxx pets or something LOL)

But ignoring that I think what you did is probably fine, assuming that I'm understanding you?

If we pretend that the ratios of whole litters against litters is basically unwavering throughout August, then what you did is probably fine? You're trying to see e.g. did people adopt more tribals than sorbets (not looking at outcomes), etc etc, right?
