Trade Rant Thread [V.31]

This is something that accumulated over the last one and a half year.
All the things I have encountered personally yet and which make me overthinking what's going on.


Cancel with a message (most often a simple "No thanks") => Get called Rude.
Cancel without a message => Get called rude.
Cancel saying "Please do read my rule about wishlist pets" => Get called rude and a liar, since they are on my wishlist so I have to want to trade for them no matter what and am obviously not allowed to cancel/decline a trade.
Letting a trade sit because I am not at home, and Chickensmoothie keeps me logged in 24/7 => rude.
Cancel a trade in general => rude rude rude...

That's all I get nowadays.
Literally all canceled trades get glared at because I dare to not send a message and be rude, or send a "no thanks" and be rude, or tell people to read my rules, which is supposedly rude too.
Or I am canceling trades because I don't want to overpay. Seems to be the highness of rudeness nowadays, and totally require people to go at me because it's all my fault.

The reason why I cancel so many trades nowadays, even fair ones, just because I don't really want to bother.

if I get a trade canceled, without a message, or a no thanks, I know "Okay, the person probably didn't like my trade or didn't want to trade that pet" and I shrug and go on about my day.

Why do people feel the need to pm me after I cancel, just to berate me about my rudeness, demanding answers why I did cancel, or why I did feel the need to show them the link to the lists, or why I did only say no thank you?

It's depressing, and lowering my trade morale quite a bit.
And I do not understand it.

Where have all the pets on my wishlist gone? D8
I mean of course the event pets and what not are easy finds.
But all the list pets I want to get for people have suddenly gone missing.

I can overpay all I want but because it's not a dog no one wants what I have *facepalm*
And why do I have to pay Advents for August PPS Lions?
I can't find any but I know when I do they're going to want my advent list pets.

Do I feed demand to get the two I need?
Or do I just ignore them and try to get it fairly?
It's so hard not to feed demand when that's the only thing that seems to count anymore ;n;

Why do people think the 2013 Christmas pets will turn out rare?! I got this trade. Even if they do turn rare (which i doubt) why on earth would they be worth list pets, 2008-2010 Rares and VR's?

After a full hour of editing this gift war, just as I am editing the trade to try and beat them, they cancel and say they were clearing out their trades. Then I pmed them and they resent the trade, But cancelled it a few minutes later as I was editing my side and said they cancelled because they just won an auction. DON'T YOU THINK IT WOULD HAVE AUTO CANCELLED!!!???

Well, sorry hon, I already have a non balloon from 2013. What makes you think there is a difference? Plus, this ain't fair. Just because my toxic is a rerelease, doesn't mean that it is worth less than an original date non balloon.
