everyone understands its frustrating and trading is going to be rough for a while but please be patient. i traded over 2000 pets for a main list a few days before this was decided and you cant imagine how that has made me feel. we are all struggling, some more than others, but we're all going to have to get used to it. everything has gone into play. soon enough there will be new lists that we can reference to but until then we'll just have to be careful and work together to learn whats a safe trade and what isnt.

I've played this game for years, only to come across this and it hurts. Ive worked my way up to the pets I have now, and I'm immensely agonized by knowing the value of what I've worked SO hard for over the years just suddenly is gone?? I suddenly have NO idea how to value ANY of my pets because I don't have a reference sheet in front of me like I have for the past years of my activity, and as much as I love CS this is making my favorite part of the game something I no longer want to participate in, if that makes any sense?

I agree that the list wasn't reliable with its placements. Certain pets had more demand incorporated into their placement, which isn't balanced. (Example: the joker dog, which turned VR in May 2010, is placed much higher than pets like the scarf pps, which turned vr in February 2010)

Then we have pets who were excluded from the list even though they turned vr at the same time as some lists.
(Example: The Orange Heavy Stripe turned vr in March 2011 along with pets like the Candy Cane Bwolf, Boar PPS, and Santa rat, yet it isn't on the list.)

The list was honestly a huge mess that did more harm than good, so I'm glad it's finally retired.

Asking again, when will the list be locked since it doesn't look like it needs any more edits and now it seems people are posting on it again? Just curious.

I'm glad it's retired as well, I think it will truly help out new Smoothians by allowing us all to focus on true values instead of fake ones! And it always was curious to me how there were pets that were obviously so much rarer than others yet were completely overlooked.

Uhm, I am confused, I never talk in here but- What has excatly happened? Did list pets lose their value ?

List pets do not lose their value but this list will no longer be updated
Other lists are being worked on in the meantime

To add: There isn't so much of a loss in value as there is a closer reflection of their *true* value. The reason some people are upset about list pets being "worthless" is because we have traded by a guide that for so long gave the community the impression that some pets were worth far, far more than they really were which led to many people paying a lot more for pets than was fair.

I joined in 2012 and have used the List the entire time I've been on CS. Now I'm like 1 million percent lost on trading and worth for my List pets etc. I get that people wanted it retired but I wish it could have at least waited til some of the other lists were complete so we weren't floating like this with no form of guide to determine worth.

For example Ive been trying for a green liontail for close to a year now and have been offering a non tag, while that was already considered over payment to some and under payment to others, but the non was WAY higher on the list than the green liontail is. So now I am confused as to what to offer people, and if anyone is really going to trade based on rarity and date now (which to me makes the most sense) or if they're going to continue to go off of the faulty list. I suppose that comes down to the person but I feel like its going to make cs a hard place for a while and I don't know if I even want to deal with the headache (I dont mean that offensively to the site). I guess what Im really saying here is, what are we supposed to do now?

I personally feel that the safest thing to do is just ride things out for a while and hold off on trading those pets until the new guides are completed (or at least mostly done), or there is always still the discontinued list guide that you can still go by in the mean time. ^^

To be honest, I don't know what to think of the discontinued rarity list, there's ups and downs to this such as; higher demand Lists (UR Tiger,etc.) I was thinking of starting my own guide for this with and without demand, but, the only thing is is if this will make it confusing or help users. I would have to ask around about some List pets, but other than that, I think I could make the guide work. I will say the "rarity list" did confuse me on some things, like trading advents for september/main list and why the Raven dog is on the Advent List but can go for 1-2 nons worth or even higher. It took me forever to obtain my first List pet. But any who, sorry to ramble like this.

Those people are wrong. "List" pets are not suddenly worthless. In fact, many of those "list' pets will get their true value which would be worth more than the old list stated they were.
