for artists mostly:

do you have a pet/item you were most excited to release to the community? why?

totally NOT inspired by FleshCanvas's (FleshCanvases?) recent dressups... but do you ever consider/think about certain pets or existing items when designing new pets or items?

thank you guys :)

This litter:

I thought of the idea and it got me so excited, not necessarily for their adult designs but how they grew. Dogs that scramble themselves as they grow, I thought the twin tails, split face and mismatched ears were fun and really showed off the scrambling concept. Since this was my first scramble litter I caught the community off guard and the confusion was glorious!

It's my personal favorite because it was something original and invited a lot of community interaction. It was so fun, I try and do a similar litter every year for April!

@Berkshire
How are you?
Are you still active?
Will you be designing any pets/items any time soon again?
How did you join CS?

@Any Staff
Where are you from?
Do you have any irl pets? If not, are you thinking of getting one?
…ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐷ.. Image Image #LOVEBERKSHIRE (collecting ≠ hoarding)

I wanna collect all pets from 2014 onwards, and all rats from every year.
Give me advice/feedback/criticism on my art!!
Fun fact (I'm freaking hilarious)
also click these stamps for a stamp guide.

Do NOT trade me. I am on a CS break for the foreseeable future. I shall only log on for finishing my current pending commissions on Oekaki, do NOT send me trades. (With EXCEPTION OF EVENTS.)
Update: I won't be on for longer than I thought.

To Any Staff

Are there any pets or pet design ideas that you would love to be added to the game?
Like a pet idea that doesn't exist and you just really want it to! (Like a slinky dog! My personal dream! <3 )

No pets other than fish, but I wanna get a dog! Maybe in the near future...

An aquatic creature would be nice if I could add a new pet
For design hmm... I'd like to see a design that gives Warframe vibe: cool, and alien looking

Q1: This one is more formal, and I'm sorry if this thread isn't meant for something like this, but just out of pure curiosity -
is the amount of pets per event (talking about Halloween, Easter, Summer) proportional to the amount of tokens a person can obtain via clicking (and hence sometimes the banner limit raising) OR are the players "forced" (take this word lightly, couldn't think of a better word ATM xP) to participate in trading with other players (with maybe pets that aren't swaps of that event). I hope you understand what I mean, if it's something you'd rather skip answering that's totally ok ^^

Q2: If you could eat only ONE food/meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Q2: what's the cutest baby animal? :0

1. Admins plan this out while they are setting up pet releases to ensure that token collecting is fair and easy. Some years might require slightly more tokens depending on how many pets are released or how the math works out, but for the most part I think it's pretty consistent.

2. Fettuccine alfredo from Olive Garden. I know it's not REAL Italian food but it's consistent and it's good.

3. Puppies!

How has your life changed over the course of your time with chicken smoothie? Tess has been here for 15 years, which I imagine has meant a lot of life changes, how has chicken smoothie played a role in that, and how have your interactions on the site changed as you've gotten older?
For me, I started playing when I was in early HS because my younger sibling got me hooked on here, and recently have come back as a way to get away from some of the college stress and the sense of community(plus my brain just likes collecting things). I know my life has changed a lot over the years I've been a member here and would love to hear some from a staff perspective.

I've been here since 2008, and though I've played many pet games, CS has always been my "main" game that I come back to and visit daily. My life has changed an incredible amount since I was a child, but CS has not. I've gotten to see many awesome features be added over the years, but what I love about CS is that at its heart it remains the same game that it was 15 years ago!

I'm from North America, but I don't want to get anymore specific than that. ^^

I currently have a very old cat and an Australian shepherd puppy! Once my living situation is more permanent I am hoping to add some reptiles to the mix. I really like Chinese water dragons, and I'd love to get a snake at some point.

hi staff! here's some things i've always been curious about...

    1. how many hours a day do you dedicate to CS, particularly when it comes to skimming the forums with the intent to moderate content? for staff members who transitioned into full-fledged adulthood while being a moderator, have you found it harder over time to balance CS with everyday life (such as your job or schooling, taking care of pets or kids, etc.)?
    2. does anyone close to you IRL know that you work for a massively successful website with over half a million members? do they find it cool, quirky, weird/too niche for them to fully "get", or anything else of the sort? and if you feel comfortable sharing, what's your funniest memory or story of showing CS to someone you know?
    3. how helpful are members when it comes to reporting rule-breaking content?

1) Hmm well I always have CS up on my other monitor just to keep an eye on things, but I'd say about 3-4 hours total go into it over the span of the day. It's much easier to do some moderating and then move over to personal things like my own threads or my own collections. I tend to alternate between modding and having fun for about 6-7 hours.

2) My irl friends do know, and the first response I got was "Oh so you're a Reddit mod" which was kinda funny haha! They don't really care all too much, as I've always been a bit on the weird side so it's not really a surprise for them. My funniest memory has to be before I was a GM, like a year or so ago. I was on a voice call with my friends and decided to finally go through and sort some pets. I started streaming it and I just remember my one friend popping in to watch and just going "Space, what in the world are you doing?" That devolved into a hilarious conversation about the site while I tried to explain. It was hilarious.

3) Hmm I'm not going to say too much on this one cause ya know, behind-the-scenes stuff. But the best way I can put it is that more reporting wouldn't break our backs haha! So here's to all y'all, it's better safe than sorry!! If you're on the fence about something being allowed don't be scared to send it in just in case. None of us are offended or annoyed when something comes in to be looked at.

Thanks for the questions!! I've only been a mod for a short month (wow can't believe its already been a month...), but it's been a great time so far and I'm so happy to help out the community! Hope my answers were satisfactory!

1. hmm, at LEAST 3 hours if im not out of the house or traveling, which i have been doing quite a bit of lately. i grew up on CS, started modding a few years ago (omg) and honestly the transition has been fine. cs has been a part of my routine for so many years even before modding so nothing really changed there :)

2. yes !! literally everyone in my life knows since ive been on cs well... forever LOL and getting rp mod was like an actual celebration in my circle. my friends find it endearing, a few irl friends even tried out cs for themselves over the years. my mom actually used to take away my cs privileges when i needed to clean my room or something when i was younger LOL

my funny story- one year in college i had a randomly assigned roommate. i was casually browsing cs on our couch and they happened to catch a glimpse while walking past me and was like "wait... is that... chickensmoothie" so we did some fangirling and deep diving and turns out we used to be in the same warrior cat threads ❤❤❤ fast friends after that LOL

3. in my experience suuuuuper helpful! as space said, please always report even if on the fence- better to be safe!

    -snip-

1. Hm it's hard to say because I don't do it all in one run, I would say ~3-5 hours on the site? But that's besides making pets which is VERY inconsistent for me, I tend to do quite a few litters all in one go but then the next week or so I'm not making much- I generally always have the site up one of my tabs while I'm on my PC as well. My job is 5-2 so from 2pm onwards I basically have all the time to do whatever I want so I haven't found it too hard to balance it (but we'll see moving forward as I've been picking up more on my plate heh)
2. My partner, bestfriend & people at work know, my partner definitely doesn't get it and always asks "are you on the green website again-" because they can see the green from the screen on my face LOL, the people at work find it quite cool though (but also don't know all the ins and outs of it). My best friend has always known I've wanted to create on CS so they were happy for me when they found out :D
