I've updated the layouts and removed all of the redundancies in the coding! :) Please let me know if there are any mistakes you find!

Small note, idk if it's intentional, but right now the calculator shows 32 pets for July 2008, and 67 pets for Christmas 2008.
However, one of the pets in there, the brown hooded rat, is actually a double release. The same rat was released on two separate occasions, and it functions as one and the same pet in the archive. (You get checkmarked inboth archive tabs at once!)
So the number of 2008 pets should actually be one less than is currently shown.

Furthermore, the special releases tab in the archive for 2008 also includes the Tess birthday litter, which is the equivalent of a release that would be sorted into "Staff birthdays" in later years. Unlike the "Unreleased" pets in the same tab (which came from the December 18th box), the birthday litter was a regular 'holiday' type adopt and you could adopt each giftbox individually.
There was no RNG involved in receiving these pets (unlike the luck of pulling a UR pet from the 18th), so I'd argue that they ought to be included in the total count for 2008, and not excluded from the year count / treated as a special release.

I understand if that's what you prefer for the sheet since the archive does put them in that tab, but purely in terms of obtaining them, they were really not different from stuff like Valentine's day or other birthday pets.

The total number of pets for 2008 is 211.
(207 if you exclude the UR pets, and 201 if you also exclude the cake litter after all.)

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I've been swamped! I'll add an addendum so folks can choose which category they want the brown hooded rat under, thank you for that info! :) And I'm organizing it depending on how the Archive has the pets categorized for ease of use. :)

Hey just to let you know the Halloween pets in 2024 are displaying as 115 but the archive shows there’s actually 117 (it looks like the two cerbs at the end of the event were possibly missed in the count). In the specific species section - in the Syrian hamster section there’s only 1 for Christmas of 2021 (the calculator has 2 listed, but the second is actually a dwarf hamster), there should also only be 9 guinea pigs in the 2023 camping event (the calculator has 13 listed, I think the “chipmunk” pets got counted as guinea pigs however they use the newborn bunny line art instead of the guinea pig).

Additionally - the addendum that mentions taking a pet off for either July or Christmas doesn’t mention a year (and I’m not seeing the * symbol mentioned displayed on any of the columns) so it may be helpful to add the year into the addendum so that if it does glitch out for whatever reason and remove the * symbol people know which year you’re meaning to reference at a glance especially with so many numbers on one page some may feel overwhelmed! 😅

(Hopefully my words don’t come across condescending - if they do I’d like to profusely apologize! I just wanted to mention a few things that may be helpful to others with the calculator!)

Thanks for the input! :) I added the asterisk (*) next to 2008 so hopefully that makes it make a little more sense?

And at the time I entered it, 115 was the amount shown in the Archive, I did that before the last two pets were added. :)


And finally, for everyone: all the calculators including individual species should reflect accurate counts for October, Halloween, and November up to today (the 22nd)! Please let me know if you find any errors! <3

This is incredible - I cannot wait to see where else this goes. I'd love a PPS counter by Species. If you ever need help with reviewing counts in the archive for a project, I'd be more than happy to help! :3

Also - quick correction - the total number of Store Dragons is 9. 5 From 2017 & 4 from 2024! :3
