Very interesting survey, thanks for putting it together! I've been an active trader since 2008 solid, and I must say, I have never, ever gone by the 2:1 rule. But these days, it definitely seems even more out of date. I'll be interested to see the results!

Shared sentiment with those who hate the 2:1 rule. Like who made that up? It’s literally an exponential function and is ridiculous. Needs to stop being “official” because it’s flat-out wrong. Rarity bars are objectively calculated. The year plays no role. Older pets are worth a little more because they’re older, but not exponentially more.

this is interesting. I am a newbie and i have no idea what people want. The rules in the forums dont hold when trying to get a very rare. Everyone is very different and really its about how you like the pet.
I just wish people wouldnt keep saying "thats not fair to me" if it actually follows the "rules"
