When you trade, how many uncommons do you think are equal to a rare? (assume same date/species)
Expanding on my vote:
I picked 6-10.
I almost never accept uncommons for a rare of any year.
In most cases, uncommons will be uncommon for years before moving up in rarity. I often prefer the value of the rare, since it's almost a guaranteed overpay accept if I'm hunting for a missed outcome or something I really want and I offer the rare vs an uncommon.
That being said, I will sometimes trade my rares for UC & below, but only for pets I perceive have value that outranks their rarity, are event or archive-monitored pets with a good chance of going rare soon in the future, and/or are a popular seller in my intentionally overpriced C$ values (for which I get 18-25C$ per one uncommon, so I am essentially buying a store pet which I trade for older rares, so the one uncommon becomes 1-3 rares). The chance occasion I trade down- I expect 6-10 of similar species and year (or older).
If someone is trading down their rares for 6-10 uncommons or fewer, sure, I'll make an offer. Like I said, I prefer to use rares to overpay or get outcomes I want, so I'll trade up where I can.
Observation from my trades: I definitely don't see a lot of folks trading their rares for 2-3 uncommons, BUT I get a lot of trades asking me to trade my rare for 2-3 of their uncommons. Seems to me people are cool with getting a rare for 2-3 uncommons, but not so cool about letting them go for that price. And I'm the same way.
