They look exactly the same as the current item, just with a different id, I believe.

The borked headband is different looking than the spring headband in the store

In most cases the borked items are exact replicas. (ie., the Lolita wigs)

AFAIK the pilgrim hats from 2009 have no borked version; they got merged properly.

I have and I honestly don't know if they're like "eh oh well" or if it got pushed waaaay back on the backburner or... if they're even aware of it

Especially because I don't see any reason why these items weren't merged; they seem like oversights to me

There isn't a set time, but most likely we will get new ones at CNY (chinese new year) and Valentines day. But we won't know as there isn't any promise to get items at these holidays every year.

I could still find the trades I made for these, but they would be about a year old unless I already posted about them. Would year old trades be helpful or only ones more recent?

we can sure use it to see what people are offering over the years, to see if the offers have inceased. But dont forget to mention the date of the trade.

Alright, and yep I'll include the date as well. I will spend time digging through my trades to see what I can find.

Unfortunately it looks like those trades are long lost as my 100 pages of trades are full of me hoarding the summer event items.
I did find this one that I never posted. It was an auction for the cats and the wizard token(in the trade) was one of the items I was specifically requesting at the time:

The reason being is I felt it was unhelpful as it showed more on the demand for the elemental cats than anything. Trade completed on 2017-08-12

I'd like to include my input on the "glitched" items. I think they should definitely be mentioned, but since they are an item that's either reliant on codes or a slight visual change, I don't think the values should be included or tracked in the new list. Mostly because their existence isn't guaranteed for good (though it's a good guess they're not leaving) and they can either go for list pets or free. Their non "glitched" counterparts do exist and the images of the "glitched" ones are not unique for the most part. Again, I really think they should be mentioned, but people can look up trades for themselves if they really feel like they need to know the value.
