Anyways we have had a few people being unhappy about some of the horse adoptables looking like a specific horse. While there is nothing wrong in replicating a natural occuring pattern, I try to satisfy people with my adoptables in the best possible way. In no way did I intend to upset anyone so I made some little changes to make them look less like an rl exisitng horse. I hope they are more to everyone's liking now.
It might take a while for the changes to kick in.
I'm excited xD

Honestly, I preferred it the way it was before and saw nothing wrong with the fact that it looked like an actual horse. It really bugs me that people would start a hype about it and not just leave it alone. But there's nothing that can be done about it and I understand the decision that was made. ;-;

That's rather disappointing.
Though, I am sure the horses will still look magnificent, the fact that so many were complaining is the disappointing factor. There are many CS pets that look similar to real animals, and those are more often than not my absolute favorites.
My ultimate favorite CS pet, is the LionHeart warrior. Because he looks exactly like my RL cat; Cynbhad who has a disease that I'd rather not go into.

I appreciate this cat above all, because of how real he looks.
I'm sure there are many others with the same opinions,
and I bet their were some people with horses that look like the ones that have now been altered.
I'm aware that Sorren Fey was just trying to please us all, and I take no frusteration out on her. Though the ones of you that complained, think of the ones with the pets who may want a CS pet to look like their real ones.
Be happy with what you have, and don't keep the ones you don't like if you're gonna hate.

I'm just glad there won't be any more people falling off their rocker over this. xD
I really like this second design this time 'round, it goes really well. I don't think I've seen the technique for the dapples done like this, it's really well done. Time to go hunt down one.

It's bound to happen that some will prefer the previous version. ^.^; I'm really sorry for those but I think that the uproar was just too big to leave it at that.
At least they are still looking somewhat like the previous version so it's maybe not a complete loss for you.

I personally don't see what a lot of people have against these dogs. Just because they're an ode to the arts doesn't mean that they have to be all "artsy" or filled with lineart edits or whatever. When I first saw them, I knew right away that the word "arts" meant more than the visual arts. The word arts is a very broad word and encompasses a very large amount of things. I didn't know exactly what arts to expect but I did know that there wouldn't be enough room in one litter to include every single arts out there. And honestly, if the design of the dogs had been "artsy", I would've been extremely disappointed in the litter because of the fact that it's supposed to be an ode to -all- of the arts, not just the visual arts like drawing, painting, digital, etc. I love how the litter has a common base design that can tie them together as a litter but each dog takes that base design and makes it very unique for the art it's supposed to represent. The fact that the colors are similar, but not the same, does the same thing, it ties them together as a litter but still makes each dog pleasingly unique. While I agree that I would like them better without the chest stripes, that's only because I feel like they don't fit in with the rest of the design, not because they're off-putting or ugly or anything. It's part of the base design that the artist came up with and, with each growth, I've grown rather fond of the design as a whole.

I don't feel like they represent the arts at all. In defense of my opinion.
Paw prints for dance jut don't cut it in my book.
I was rather hoping to see something more along the lines of the sport/dressage horses Yulyn did last year.
They very well represented the sport with out being over the top .
Again I felt they were way to over-hyped from the git go -
Ad ended up being more about the clutter- and stripes than any sort of 'art'

Ahh, I really like the changes with it! : D
And I have a lot of respect for you taking action, changing it. It's one thing to completely ignore an issue and let it pass over-- it's another, completely respectable animal to take action and fix things.
I know that you didn't mean any intention harm with the original design, but it was rather close to that horse photograph, and could have landed in large issues if the owner of the horse ever discovered it. This really does easily solve the issue, and while I'm sure many people will complain about the design change, there's now no reason to complain about it copyright wise. C:
