The wind whispered through the tree's, the sun was glinting over the distant hills. A beautiful autumn morning, but behind the beauty hides the
Beast.
Times have changed,
the tides have turned.
The dangerous ways
have indeed returned.
He sat waiting beneath a large oak tree. His eyes scanning the horizon for her. But hours passed by without a glimpse. He sighed and shook his head, "
Stood up again" he mumbled. His ears drooping down and his eyes locked on the floor. This had been the third time she had done this and every time just ripped up his heart a little more. He slowly rose to his feet and grabbed the red rose that was at his paws in his jaws. He was gonna give it to her, but it was too late. He mozied on down the hilltop he waited on and headed home feeling crushed and hurt.
But fate had other plans for him,
more despair was yet to come.
He could he avoid
the beating of destiny's drum?
Heading down the path he spotted her, but she wasn't alone. Because attached at her hip was another man. The rose slipped from his jaw and fell into the gravel in front of his paws. She had
Lied to him. She had Lied. He spun around and ran in the other direction. Her please ringing out behind him. "Romeo! Romeo Wait! It's not what you-" but he would hear no more for now he was out of sight.
His mind was racing
His heart was pacing
His world flipped upside down.
His body aching
His legs Quaking.
His life now ripped from the ground.
He stopped after he felt he could run no more. His eyes filled with not sad, no the sadness had passed. These were tears of anger. And his face held a devious look of
Revenge. A crooked smile was now curving his lips. His face so distorted because such an innocent face was covered with pure evil. She broke his heart for the last time, she was going to
Pay.
More?
The setting had quickly changed from dawn to dusk. And he intently waiting....waiting for his time to strike. The winds had picked up, dark clouds had rolled in, and rain began to pour. It's almost like fate wanted this for him.
As darkness falls
The veil does close
And out comes
The barer of the
Rose.
Using the veil of darkness to conceal him and his dark deeds, he slunk towards her den, where her lies and evil deeds towards him would end. His ears were flicked back, his eyes were narrowed. His tail down low, and his teeth bared. The deed was indeed going to be
Done.He neared the mouth of the cave. His footsteps light and his movements were stealthy and ghostly silent. A low growl was raising in his throat. Oh he had so many things to tell her....and she was going to
Listen. He peered inside and saw her sleeping. Her chest heaving up and down. Perfect.
But before he had even step foot inside she began to stir. He growled and lunged in, trying to get her by surprise. She was struck with alarm and dodged his move and raced out into the rain. He would not let her
Escape, she was going to
Die. He charged after her, rain plastering his coat and giving it a slick and dark look. Her face was stricken with terror but she kept running, blindly through the rain, with him close.....close behind.
She slid to a stop as she saw the edge of the forest. She couldn't enter there, but as she looked over her shoulder he was very close. Having no other choice she took off towards the trees who were her only
Hope. her breath was becoming shallow, and her limbs seemed to becoming heavier, and time was seeming to slow down, like her fate was inevitable. But the trees quickly arrived and she thought she had lost him....
Run....don't stop
Prey and hunter
Prepare for the drop.....
She looked around frantically. Strange noises from the forest rang left and right. She pressed up against a tree and was spooked but she had bigger problems.
Romeo appeared from the darkness. His eyes a bloody red, and spikes had appeared along his back. "Romeo, what's-what's happened to you?" she asked quivering. He snarled but did not speak.
"Romeo. ROMEO STOP! Your
Scaring me!" she hollered.
Romeo growled. "You lied to me! You lied to me Juliet!" he spat with a vicious snap. "I trusted you! I fell in love with you, and this is what you do! You
Betray me!" "No! Romeo I would nev-" "SAVE YOUR LIES YOU
SNAKE!"
The forest grew dangerously still. He was advancing on the cornered Juliet. Tears were falling steadily from her eyes. "Please." she said in a cracking voice. "please. Don't. Don't do this." her cries were becoming more histerical. "you brought this upon yourself." Romeo said in a sickening tone. He was only feet away from her, his hot breath flowing onto her freezing fur. Time for the end......
