The entire forest before her, too, seemed to be leaking the same colorful energy, all of it dissipating in thin air and becoming one with the atmosphere... and with such an inspiring sight, the joyful guardian leapt and sped across the illuminated landscap.

He could feel the energy of every living being inhabiting the planet as he leaped through the skies, galloping on the winds. The power of life filled him, made his heart beat strongly in his chest with joy in its purest form. He couldn't help it, he was beaming and whinnying from this feeling, he just felt so good, so... alive, and he could ask for anything better.

As she galloped across the woods, she could see the world changing around her. The whiteness would give way to vast fields of flowers, which would then give way to green and the brightness of the sunlight... she could feel a gelid breeze blowing on her face, filling her with pure joy as it warmed up and brought flow petals as an welcoming party, greeting their long lost guardian. She whinnied and leaped in the sky, piercing the clouds as the sun reflected in her golden eyes and pearly white, smiling muzzle.

As the newly risen guardian finished shaking the duller rocks off her shell, she looked up at the stars and basked in their glow, their power... Their secrets. It was as if every single star had it's own little tale to share and, with the guardian finally awake again, it could finally tell its stories to somebody. The thought made Dreamcatcher smile. She bowed her head in respect to those shining pools of wisdom and let them touch her being with their energy once more, the energy of the universe, and as she leapt for the darkened sky, the guardian wove their voices, stories and knowledge into endless streams of moving images...
After all, what are dreams if not little whispers of the universe?

Suddenly the ground beneath his hooves shook a little. He quickly stood up and jumped, startled, as the floor kept shaking in a certain pattern... pulsating, actually, as if deep below rested a powerful, ancient heart that had just been been brought back to life. He suddenly felt his own heart synchronizing its beats with the place's, filling his entire being with static... with energy in its rawest form as thunders echoed in the distance... all calling to him, saying his name...
The guardian smiled. He knew what his mission was... and he didn't think twice before leaping through the rift of light that had just opened in front of him. After ages of slumber, he was ready to rejoin his siblings... all of them were, for it was finally time to break this dull shell of rock and assume their rightful roles as the children of universe itself.
Corewatcher, that was his name.
The guardian could feel his very form fill with the power of a thousand lightnings. The sensation was overwhelming and he absolutely loved it. He felt so powerful, so unstoppable... and as he broke through the dense walls of stormy clouds, his rough, dull shell of rock cracked open and gave place to his true form, crackling with raw energy. It looked like the very core of the planet seemed to cherish his return as well, for lands shook with earthquakes and volcanoes came to life wherever his hooves galloped over.
It was the return of Corewatcher, the Guardian of Power.
From the corner of his eyes he could see his siblings joining his sides, four colorful little comets smiling to each other in a silent understandment. They would whinny their greetings, but it was no use. The sound barrier had been broken long ago.
Their speed grew at each second, their forms distorting into nothing but blurs of light as they whipped across the planet. The five guardians, the five children of the universe, were together once more, ready to restore the balance of this and all worlds like they did so many times before. It was their routine, their job... a very slow one, I must say, but special nonetheless. They absolutely adored the feeling of running freely, of getting to take a good look at the beauty of the worlds they protected, of finally unleashing the power they had been holding back for so long.
And once they were finished, just like in every cycle, they would return to their birthplace, the very core of the universe itself... a place where thousands of their other siblings would return as well from their own world. There they would no longer be recognizable as their so precious forms. Instead, they would be nothing but stars in that sea of lights, stars with lots of stories to share from their travels and missions.
Stars that would fall back to that so lovely little planet when it was time for the guardians to rise again.
And this, children, was the tale of the Geode Guardians of the Universe. *closes thick old book*
Big post is big but, I gathered all the Guardian bits into one post for easy reading. :3
Thank you so much for this! I will have to go through and name all of my guardians and save this little story somewhere when I have a few minutes tomorrow. Amazing litter !! ^_^
