To any staff who can answer:

I notice sometimes moderators make pets around the holidays! Just curious, is there any rules about that? Are they able to make pets whenever and just aren't obligated to, or is it only for staff litters and holidays they can do that? Are there requirements mods have to fit first before they can make pets?

This is my girl, Hecate! She was done by the wonderful Yugi!
I don't own any pets irl (at the moment) so I sometimes like to think of her as my virtual cat lol.

I had the usual Christmas - celebrated with the family. We had a chill gathering in the morning/over Christmas lunch and then a little bit of a party in the night. But I'll have a kinda second Christmas with my partner tomorrow so I'm really looking forward to that :)

This is Kizra, she's an ocelot faunium I designed myself after purchasing a custom from the faunium creator a few years ago. I have actually had a few different characters as my custom, starting with my mostly retired fursona Rat the lynx and then swapping to a plumerian. Eventually I decided I wanted Kizra and got permission to switch. I drew these custom lines myself and have never been happier with my custom.

2. what did you guys do for christmas this year ^^ (if you celebrate it)

This year I visited my family on the condition that we all brought negative COVID PCR test results with us. I had a lot of fun and I'm so happy that I got to see everyone! We had a ham and a bunch of other foods, then we all exchanged presents.

I am Schrodinger's AA: I know everything but also absolutely nothing. Most of my knowledge comes from being a member for so long and just remembering little tidbits along the way. And the more I think I know, the more I realize I don't. :3

I usually just ask for clothes and video games because I'm really bad at shopping for myself. I got lots of really nice clothes and a gorgeous ring set!

Websites like CS tend to attract artistic people, so it just happens that a lot of our mods are also good at designing things! There are no requirements other than the pet is of high quality. For me personally, I'm not an amazing artist so for the Advent Calendar I took on two GUPPS pets that I knew I could handle, because I really wanted to contribute to the event.

I am closer with some staff members more than others just because we have similar interests or things to talk about but I don't have any favorites. The staff team is a great bunch of people and they're some of my closest friends. I don't know what I'd do without them all. <3

SOOO, my family has always done Christmas lists regardless of how old we are. This mean as an adult I have continued to do this with my husband because I'd rather I get things I can use or need than random stuff or duplicates of things I already have.

Which means I got 3 things on my list this year! A storm glass, a Mythologie Candle, and a self-stirring science mug. And new purple lensed ski goggles as a surprise. ^_^
My little brother also gave us a Groupon for an intro to glassblowing class which I'm super excited about!

punk grunge! i dress like that sometimes but it requires so much effort that i don't do it very often :)

Personally I've always been drawn to a blend of dark academia, punk, and goth styles. Like I have multiple pairs of platform boots, a bunch of tattoos based around Halloween and oddities, wear mostly black, have piercings, occasionally wear leather jackets, and collect animal skulls/bones. I also fully plan on having "Halloween for Christmas" complete with a black tree.

Interestingly enough though, Jester, my main OC is stylistically much more vibrant than what I'd actually wear, being "dark clowncore". I love the spookyness and the absurdity of the aesthetic and how it grunges and dulls a lot of vibrant colours while still relying heavily on greyscale, and it's strangely beautiful.

Naturally I'm tempted to say the other GH's who were recruited in my batch as we all got to figure things out together, but honestly the Staff group chats are never a dull moment and it's hard to not adore every single one of them <3

I asked for a bunch of comic book issues from storylines I've started collecting, slippers, a silver stainless steel necklace, spooky mugs, enamel pins, Pokémon plushies and cards, black headphones, and small kitchen appliances

I got, an air fryer, a super fuzzy throw blanket that I now live under while on CS, some Nightmare before Christmas mugs, a mandolin (the food kind), a plant based cookbook, a Nightmare before Christmas tarot deck, super nice black headphones that are much better than the earbuds I had, and lots of chocolate!
