couple of hoard updates
started these hoards in the last little while:

The colors for this cat litter are very nice. I contemplated hoarding one or two so I'm glad someone did

I liked the cat as soon as it grew last month, and I had another "wow that somewhat recent pet is really pretty why didn't I hoard that" moment with the Easter chicken, so I'm starting a hoard of those!

I regret not getting 20 of the orange ones when the event was going on. Your chicken hoard actually links to the cat one again, but since you number them it's easy to find. I'll be watching this one since I will be really curious how it goes. I still might hoard the oranges one if I can get the caterpillars I have done.

with the most recent rarity changes, one of my old 2011 hoards has turned rare, and i don't normally hoard rares unless they're recent ones because they're difficult to get ahold of and i trade for hoards mostly passively - in that 90% of my wishlist is hoards so i naturally receive a bunch of different hoard pets in trades. however, as much as i do adore this 2011 litter still and don't want to stop hoarding them yet, i receive them in a lot of trades for my high-value fodder that i want to trade for high-value pets i don't already own and will only ever collect one of.

so i feel bad, but i have a hard time valuing this hoard at rare? because even though i know they are rare, i don't want to trade my older rares for them because they were uncommon when i started and i specifically don't hoard old rares for this reason

Old hoards that started lower value and increased with time often don't feel as rare as they are to people that hoard them (or sometimes just older users who have a lot of extra fodder of that pet). Perhaps it's because we remember a time when they weren't rare and/or difficult to obtain, and with having multiple, there's less pressure to get more.

At the end of the day, don't feel obligated to accept trades for your hoard pets just because they're rare. Just because you hoard them doesn't mean you have to prioritize them; just trade how you want to trade.

Originally I wasn't hoarding these bad bois because people were not letting them go, but since they got the rarities they became so much easier, glad to have them done! The Wild West was such a fun theme honestly! Stuck on the malk fox hoard name though...

finally finished my missionflight adult cat hoard!! (waiting for last month's litter to get their rarities before i add them)

since all the outcomes are common and below i decided to make things a bit harder for myself and get four of each and match the outcomes per row! since most active users adopt their pets within the first day i had to be a lot more deliberate with my trades and while i got lucky with a few rows, other ones i really had to do some searching for the right ids lol. it was ultimately worth it though!

I feel strangely honored and I’m not sure what to say! I’m very glad you like my cat designs though

They look pretty cool when you put them all in a satisfying group like that!

Decided to hoard this guy on a whim and my GOSH has it been hard...I had none when I started searching a day ago, and only have 6 atm. It seems like no one has them for trade TToTT

Been thinking of starting a few small (~20 pets, so one page) hoards, but at the same time the completionist in me that wants to save all trade pets for ones I don't have yet is screaming not to. :'D
Even just a few years back I don't think I would have ever even considered hoarding, but with collecting all pets becoming more and more impossible, I figured it might be fun to focus just on a few select design I really like.
Is there any things or tips a newbie to hoarding should keep in mind? ,,ovo,,
I'll most likely just stick to some below-rare Butterfly Wolves, since they are my favourites. :3
Edit: I say below rare but these guys from the first litter I ever adopted on CS (different, dead account) that I'd like to hoard are rare... welp. :')

thank you! and that butterfly wolf would make a great small hoard but definitely feel you on wanting to hoard older pets that were way more common back in the day but now feel impossible…. i have a hoard of the 2011 rainbow owl that has just been a wip for over a decade bc they’re so few and far between now (and they’re not even rare!)
