I'm not sure I like this outcome xD. I can see the influences, but for me personally, I'm not sure I like it.

STILL kudos to the artist, whoever they are, for sharing their own unique vision of their pup using this years palette!

But yeah honestly if this isn't Vampiric's then I'm going to eat a cardboard box.

The colouration on these animals appears to give them little to no disguise above ground - White, yellow, and red with eye grabbing patterning

Within the blink of an eye, the pale beaches became swarmed by a wave of red creatures whose iridescence shone brightly in the light. Their anatomy reminded me starkly of some oceanic creatures located on other planets. They scuttled rapidly but remained clustered almost defensively. - Sounds like crabs! There's a crab looking creature behind the back foot of the pup

It had strongly muscled hind quarters, which given the strength of it's kicks and the speed at which we saw them running.. makes perfect sense. It's front feet are much more flattened and dextrous with thick pads beneath. Very pointed and large ears which can rotate backwards for localising sounds. A broad snout that draws up to meet a pair of starkly intense eyes. - Sounds a lot like what an adult of this pup would look like. The pup already has the beginnings of these features

There was one thing we all fixated on in that brief encounter. Its horn, as uniquely shaped as it is, almost seems out of place on this creature. - The horn on the pup isn't grown so it doesn't look "uniquely shaped" yet, but it does have only a single horn

Solloby’s pup has been found, identified in the archives by the archivist, Solloby! And, Saikiyo’s sneaky pup has also been found. So now we still have 6 staff/pups left to identify -

I'm still pretty sure this one's Nadine's pup, since the coloring reminds me of the puppies from the previous years:

And as many have already said, I too believe this one's Vampiric's, and to me the last hind is nearly a confirmation:

Also...maybe this one's Yugi's?


For the others, I haven't the slightest idea...

through process of elimination and based on previous hints, some of my guesses:

Yağmur's. Has the gradient that a lot of their previous staff pups have.


Bernouli's. The wispiness of the fire and smoke are common themes in their staff pets, plus aspects of the art style remind of previous pets they've made: the tail fin, the tail shading, and the gradient colors.


Vampiric's.


Lacuna's.


Nadine's. Has the same half-floppy/half-straight ears of some of their previous staff pets: xxx and xxx. Plus, "my pup shares at least one element from my previous staff dogs": its pup form has blue eyes, which all her staff dogs have had too. This dog's design definitely fits in with their other hint: "Another day has passed and my pup still hasn't found their way. I hope they're not lost in another galaxy. If you find them along your journeys, please send them my way."


Yugi's. Reminds me of some spotty pets they've made in the past: xxx, xxx, xxx, xxx. They also have a 'soft' kind of feel to their design like this pet: xxx. They definitely look like they have the potential to grow into a koi dragon: the spots could turn out to become scales, the short tail makes me think that it may grow longer (maybe snake-like/fish-like?), the top red/maroon half looks like a scaled hidd complemented by a white underbelly, and the spot on their muzzle may end up sprouting whiskers.

hey there! i promise we haven't forgotten about this pup! we wanted to wait until solloby actually confirmed the claim in the thread to put it in the chart, but since it hasn't gone away and sol hasn't said anything to the contrary, we just put it in. everyone, please feel free to let us know if we are missing anything else! there are more staff members than there are chart helpers, if you know what i mean ahaha. c:
