definitely support as well. as someone who has been trying to slowly work my way up from dead rock bottom of the list, i have been rather shocked to see what some of the lower lists are going for.

This is a very interesting idea. Making different guides for different types of pets. Out of curiousity.. how will this thread determine trading from one type of pet to another. Such as a normal vr to a store pet.

Still always up to the people trading. But still something to be discussed. I would look at it as double or triple it's worth for the year, so one at a vr level would be about 4-6 rares of that year, if of value to me. But honestly I don't even know. I just started dealing with store pets this year and still figuring it out cause it seams the older the pet, even just the last litter, is kinda worthless. It takes a year or few to get them back to where they once would've been if brand new.Store pets have their own trade economy, people don't trade them like normal pets, so everything with them is harder, for sure

When the guide is created we will likely keep it very open and loose, leaving it up to interpretation on ""exact"" values. This is to avoid people taking advantage of the pet's placement in a demand aspect, while also avoiding the placement being so strict that you can't trade it for any less than the "worth"

Tess at one point said they were the rarest pets on CS. Now if that's still true or not because of the amount of quantity put in through horse adopts is questionable. Either way, I know for certain they will be high up on the list.

I’d actually prefer this thread just be what it’s called: a guide to pet rarity.
But I also agree zebras would probably be a more valuable pet because its extremely rare to actually adopt them in the monthly adopts.

It's going to be both. We can't call it Rarity List because that already exist. We can refine the name later though.

The Rarity List is a project based on pet numbers. I.e. how many exact pets (or roughly) pets there are. Say there is 1234 BEGs while there is 2134 CEGs for example. The BEG will be labeled with higher value compared to the CEG.

On this thread, its going to be less strict and simply go by rarity changes/bars. So there doesn't need to be an exact value, leaving some breathing room for trading.

In example (though this could be argued later on, I'm going off memory), a UR Cinbun will be placed higher than a UR Bengal Cat because it has never fallen to VR, but the UR Bengal will be placed higher than a Non Dog because it turned back to Omg before the rarity update. We dont know the exact difference in numbers, simply that they were either once red or purple bars.

Ofc this is a loose example. We haven't even decided if we will include URs/Store and my memory might be wrong on rarity tags. But do you get the general idea?

@Sin- Would the idea of keeping it looser be along the lines of keeping the “tiers” of whatever they’ll be called larger?
