Guide to ‘Official’ CS Dog Names

Could someone tell me what this is called? Sorry I started last year so I have no clue but I know its a 2016 staff pet. I also love it so I really wanna know what it is.

It's sketchi's staff dog and was named "Applegrit" by them.
Alternatively you can usually refer to all staff pets with the artist name and year, so "2016 sketchi staff dog" would do as well^^

Is there a thread or anything that says what all of their names are? Like what the artists named them?

@Stardew: I'm afraid I don't know of any official names for those two, and there's a chance they don't have any yet. I do know the bottom one is a GUPPS from a litter that's been referred to as "Cyberwing" litter during the month it was released quite a lot, so maybe something like Circuit Cyberwing GUPPS could work out.
Or, at the very least, I'll throw it in here as a suggestion c:

@Beemo: Here is the hint chart from last year's staff litter. It has all the names (if the artist gave a name). Previous years typically had hint charts, too, they should be linked in past discussion threads.^^

Feel free to tell me off if this is off-topic or in the wrong place but the Dog Names wiki has only been updated to Apr '16 and I can't find the names of the Oct '16 crystal litter (found here) anywhere including the Oct '16 outcomes discussion thread and was wondering if anyone could help me with either finding them or telling me them? Thanks in advance!

I've been away from a while and am working on updating the guide and wiki, and... basically everything on the front page right now needs naming. @_@

I'm digging through the discussion threads to find if there are any names in common use for these guys, but if anyone's looking for something to do in between egg hunting, some name help would be appreciated. X3 Names taken from the monthly discussion threads are preferred, but if there aren't any names that came up for particular litters, feel free to suggest your own names for them as well. As a general tip, I usually go for names that are short, simple, descriptive and relatively distinct from already existing names.

Is Circuitwing really used more often than Cyberwing? I've only ever heard the latter when I was on the discussion thread.
Whichever you go with, the pink outcome should definitely be the Hashtag Circuit/Cyberwing c:


The "merle" litter is based off Catahoula Leopard dogs, confirmed by Tess here.

And for the Sunmoon 2nd Gens, the most popular ones I've seen in discussions were
Sunbutt / Marshmallow Sunbutt
Caramel Moonback
Chocolate Sunback (this one is missing on the front page)
