I saw piano keys.
Vincent Van Gogh. Everyone said to him, "You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear." And you know what he said? "I can't hear you."

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

I wonder what's with the color in it's eyes? I hope they get incorporated into the rest of the design, as it's already really neat!

I have to politely disagree with your comparison there. Although I doubt it was your intention, lesbians have a very long history of being excluded from pride merchandise. It's an ongoing issue even to this day. Target, for example, is currently selling many different pride flags, including a straight ally flag, but not a lesbian flag. So the lack of a lesbian flag here can feel like just another example* of lesbians being forgotten, and it's understandable that people could feel a bit miffed.

*I also want to make it clear I don't begrudge Lacuna on this - she was just working from the color palette available to her, and there wasn't any way to bring in the orange needed for the flag. But it's not as if people desiring a lesbian flag are butting into a conversation that is not about them. If I misunderstood your comment in any way, please correct me.

I'm super excited to see how these turn out! Loving the colors so far.

I have to agree with you here, not only does it exclude lesbians but also the trans flag. (the pink and blue egg is bigender)
I feel trans people are also often excluded, on purpose or not, or misrepresented.

So out of the original LGBT, we have the B. I understand that there was a rainbow litter last year. That was last year, though, and it wasn't even in June. Even with the possibility that we will get more in the future, it honestly still hurts having to wait a year for the possibility of being included. I know it wasn't the artist's intention, but in my opinion it'd be better to make no flag pets than not have everyone included.

I also understand that it had to be worked on within the limits of the parent pets. This could've been solved many ways as well, from making multiple second gens for the month, to even coordinating with other artists to make sure that out of all the pet types, there would be an outcome for everyone.

This litter doesn't include a lot of different flags. Like Lacuna said, she was limited by the colors of the parents. Plus, if all of the pride flags were included, there would be way too many pets. And besides that, you really shouldn't be getting yourselves upset over some pets on a site. It's just meant to be a fun little collecting game, nothing more serious than that. There are plenty of other ways to celebrate Pride Month than with some pets on a website. Heck, go and make your own pets if you're set on wanting one of a particular flag! The Oekaki is the perfect place for that.

    Yes, it's frustrating when you don't see yourself represented in pride, especially when you're part of the groups that are often overlooked within it. But this is a free pet adopts website, not an LGBTQ+ activist site, and we are not obligated to any art. Lacuna wanted to have fun with pride palettes and celebrate our community for June, and she did her best with what she had, and encourages us to interpret the colors as we please. Certain identities not being included wasn't a case of deliberate exclusion or erasure, it's because of the stated limitations. This was not a decision made with malice.

    You could always try making suggestions for future pride themed pets or create your own pride content to make up for the flags you don't see here! (Or support others who do, if you can't.) Surround yourself with positivity, wherever you can find it, including outside of CS ^^ Remember, pride is more than just seeing your flags - it's about celebrating our existence and uplifting our LGBTQ+ community members!

    I initially didn't give the horses much attention at first but I'm actually really looking forward to them! The natural colors are so pretty, after all.

    Rainbow palettes are always a blast so I was pleased to see these tiny beans. And on closer inspection, they have little stars on their rumps, which makes me very happy :D The image that comes to mind is riding a shooting star with a rainbow trail, like this past pet. Pchoo~!

{Every growth convinces me even more that these will be pride deer. I cannot be told otherwise. Just look at those eyes}

{To add to the egg discussion, I understand the frustration, being ace I'm usually left out of pride and frequently out of the LGBT+ entirely since I "don't exist" or something like that. However as others have said, the palette is limited. This is a collecting game. And to point out the deer above...it's much too early to be saying "my flag was left out" !! We have the deer and the hamsters which both have potential for pride colors. I think it's best if everyone waits patiently for growths before jumping to conclusions about flags being left out. Whatever the case I have no doubt that the artists didn't intend to make people feel left out. ;v;}

I have to agree wholeheartedly with this. Its not realistic to expect everyone to be included in this litter, and there will always be someone who feels left out and at the same time people who feel like certain others should not have been included (exactly the reason we do not and may not ever get pride stamps), and I'd really rather not litters like this be stopped from happening for those reasons too. Celebrate those who could be included, and if this litter gets a positive reception, we may even see more of them. But if its going to turn into a fight over who should or shouldn't be included and why didn't everyone get an outcome, that will pretty much guarantee we just won't get any, which I don't think any of us want to see.
