Will everyone get a list pet?

This is my first year on Cs, I've only been here a couple months.
I know the basics of December 18th advent pets, but can someone go more into detail?

I need more clarification on the details and ninja trading

You'll find the present under the tree and you can adopt either both at once or just one at a time. They'll be available throughout December 18 (CS time), so there's no rush to get them as soon as they are released. You'll have a chance to get UR, or unreleased, pets-- these are entirely new pets that will only be available now (and possibly in future December 18ths) and will usually be OMGSR. If not a UR, the pets will come from a previous year. They can be any pet (though I'm not sure about store pets) and will age as they normally would.

Ninja trading is basically when people try and get a December 18 pet while trading a pet worth far less. The user may not be aware of the rarity of their pet and trade an '08 vr, for example, for a 2010 rare. The victims are usually COPPA'd users, who have no clue what's going on. It's not against the rules but it's definitely looked down upon. :V

They don't release store pets, because it's apparently unfair to the people that bought them in the first place, which sucks because it would be cool to know I could recieve a red cerberus! But alas, no. It happened back in 2010, before they realized it was unfair, which is why some people have re-release store pets.

I have seen some people posting that newer CS Accounts cant participate in the 18th Advent due to Cheating. How "New" do you have to be to Not be able to participate? I joined Nov 24th, would I be able to adopt my set of pets?

No, there is a very slight chance anyone will get a list pet. It's luck of the draw. You might strike it rich, you might get a common from 2013. You never know. ♥

Hey, maybe there should be a warning about the PPS cocoon? I've seen a lot of people get scammed with that.

Person 1 tells Person 2 that 1 has the cocoon. Person 2 flips their wig and trades for what they think is a VR 2009 Advent List pet. The caterpillar later grows up into something that is obviously not a PPS cocoon.

Maybe there should be a warning that says NOT to trade for any supposed PPS cocoons until there is not a shadow of a doubt that it is indeed the PPS? Which means waiting exactly 10 days after adoption to see the little "Fully-grown" tag on it.

I got scammed into thinking someone's frog litter cocoon was a Shima :c

It's really random. It doesn't affect the outcomes, there's no real strageties. Maybe it can double your excitement and stuff but it's totally random. (:

I know I am a "newbie" but I think on the front page of this discussion it stated that the butterfly wolves will be stamped with a UR on it....please edit this if I am wrong, but that was my understanding of the post. Cat~

Someone is saying this cocoon is the UR bwolf... how do I know?
The cocoon which belongs to the UR bwolf will have UR stamped on it. This is to ensure no one gets scammed thinking they are trading for a UR bwolf cocoon when it is not! (this was from the first page, not me!)
