1. It depends on how you value species. I would personally say they compensated well enough and I feel it's fair.

2. Personally I think it's unfair to the pets.

3. Not quite sure on this one.

Actually, that's some big overpay on your side, the guinea pig is only worth about 25C$. Maybe give a bit for demand (don't know how much they have right now), but still unfair to you.
